Matt Read
How they've managed to bring the same offense, even with the players lost in the offseason.
Danny Briere
Losing Chris Pronger
Another defenseman
Tim Gleason or Sheldon Souray
I don't think anyone will get traded but I want to say Andreas Lilja.
Claude Giroux
No.
I don't think they need him to make a deep run but I do think they need to replace him to make a deep run. - Schenn2shine
Biggest surprise for me= Richards and Simmonds with same amount of points and Carter sh%%ing the bed in Columbus. Now there is talk of him being traded? Poor C-Bus fans.

It won't happen but the NHL just needs to contract Columbus and Phoenix so they can move ahead with a balanced 7 teams per conference realignment. |

Not disagreeing just curious- why Souray? - coffee junkie
Physical play. Hard shot from the point we're missing. He's playing 20 minutes a night for Dallas right now. Souray wouldn't need PK time here, nor would he need to be on the top 2 pairs. He's a bargain at his cap hit. |

I would choose Hartnell before I choose Milan Michalek, Jason Pominville or Dustin Byfuglien |

It's a bit slow in here, so stealing this from the PENS blog, let's hear your thoughts:
1. Biggest surprise player for the Flyers thus far?
2. Biggest surprise regarding the Flyers as a team?
3. Most disappointing Flyers player?
4. Most disappointing aspect of the Flyers team?
5. What is the Flyers’ greatest positional need heading into the trade deadline?
6. Do you have a specific player target, who?
7. Which player do you feel is most likely to get traded?
8. Which player do you feel is the key to the Flyers’ second half?
9. Is Pronger coming back in 2011-12?
10. Do the Flyers need Pronger to win the Stanley Cup, or at least make a deep run? - coffee junkie
1. Matt Read. 1st in the league amongst rookies in goals.
2. The fact that we've given up 142 goals and are only a few points off from 1st place in the Eastern Conference. I think most of us expected the Flyers to be a defensive-oritented group with all of the new players coming in on offense, but its been just the opposite so far.
3. Danny Briere. He's been invisible 95% of the season.
4. Concussions.
5. Defenseman.
6. Shea Weber.
7. Probably Schenn or JVR.
8. Claude Giroux.
9. No.
10. No, but the captain will still be sorely missed. |

He's joking obviously, but I'd be funny to watch him win the car IMO. |

Giroux is having a great season but to me last season was his break out season. Right now Giroux is only doing what's expected of him, taking the next step. To me feels like Scott Hartnell's coming out party. I think Scott Hartnell is a real character guy who can handle being chosen last and would make some sort of joke of it. I also think he'll do something pretty amazing by season's end to shine some light on him getting taken last.
I expect Hartnell to be taken last. |

Giroux broke out this season, but I'm not sure if anybody thought he'd be a legitimate MVP contender. Right now it's Malkins' to lose, but he's certainly right there behind him. |
