I think the injuries are only an excuse in one way:
They have exposed the lack of heart, desire and intestinal fortitude on this team.
I don't care what changes are made, there are people in much better positions to decide on those changes...
But you have to do something. Doing nothing is unacceptable.

Adam is young still and maturing yes, but he does not deserve any ice time, he plays soft and doesn't stick out at all. You see guys younger than him or the same age skating all over the ice and at least making their presents felt, he just kind of has been going through the motions. |

Is he lost? I've never played hockey at a high level, but with the demand for decent centers, there has to be some important differences in the positions.
Is moving him from center to wing, back to center, then to the other wing really helping him?

The problem with that is you are talking about 3-5 years before all those drafts come to fruition.... |

Maybe if he wasn't playing with the 3rd and 4th liners he'd be better!!!! All his points came when he was cerntering Pominville and Vanek and all of a sudden he's not doing anything!! The kid was amazing in the QMJHL, he can be a great player. Let him play with the great players on the team and leave him there and let him learn!!!!!!!
I say the same thing with the Leino - Boyes - Stafford line - let them play togehter for a while.
This team produces no offense because everytime I watch a game, I need to read the scroller on the top of my TV to see whare everyones playing. It's different every night!! |

The Sabers are at the point of no return.
Do you rebuild your soft/weak/entitled core the Chicago/Pitt/Edm way?
Or do you put the blinders on and attempt a MTL/Calgary rebuild?
Perhaps if UFA's were more willing to sign in Buffalo they could try a NYR style
rebuild?

Fire Darcy get a GM that will actually improve this team... As far as Lindy once that gm is in say after the break he has that much time to get this team back to or almost at the playoff level... if he does so he gets next season and if he gets a deep playoff run or cup then obviously he gets season afterwards... you allow people to feel there spot on the team is set in stone and this is what you get...
As far as Adam idk maybe stick him back on the line with pom and vanek and watch us score 2 or more goals in a game |

i am with you.. we need to move what we can for picks or prospects if they can be had.. maybe attempt to flip some of those picks for prospects. But at the end of the day this team isn't going to win. |

we have to pretty much win 80% of our remaining games just to get the chance to get swept by boston.. lets just suck the season up, evaulate some of the younger guys and get the higher picks |

10 G and 20 pts is pretty damn good for a rookie, especially the 16 pts in the first 2 months. Then he becomes a casualty of Lindy's line juggling. First the move away from Pominville and Vanek when he was our most productive center at the time. Then play him with Ellis and McCormick or whatever plug is called up from Rochester. It's obvious why his level of play has dropped. Is he elite? No. Talented? Yes. Guys should at least be able to play out their entry level contracts before we try to run them out of town.
AHL ROY
Made a very good Canadian Jr team
A natural center
Over 6 ft
Over 200 lbs
Stays out of the box
Adam is fine. Imagine if he wasn't on a last place team and the $4 million "stars" around him weren't struggling. He's on a team that is largely going through the motions. When he's having fun he is a different player. Who would have fun playing on this mess? |

I meant that statement as more of a you tell the players they are in a fight to keep their jobs quite frankly besides 3 players i would scrape the whole team.... use the rest of the season to go Herb Brooks on their asses... see what they are made of and see who gets to go play else where |

As bad as we are, I'm not all doom and gloom.
I think our defense is pretty good, and we've got some promising young guys coming along. It will improve if we can get our forwards going better.
Goaltending is okay for the next couple of years (note i said okay, not great) although it is time to start looking for Miller's replacement.
Forwards -- Get rid of Roy, Stafford. for picks if nothing else. then draft CENTERS. See if there are any other trades out there for CENTERS.
I think with some bona fide centers playing the position (hopefully with some leadership mixed in) we are a different team. |

Just glad you guys gave Erhoff that horrible contract for a decade. Because there is no doubt that we would have done the same contract and probably paid more lol |

8th place Devils are on pace for 94.
So we probably will finish with about 91-93. |

Ahahaha very accurate.
That's the same tactic your GM is using.
However its leveled to you and your fanbase.
Enjoy watching that great product the rest of the season |
