Yes I believe he will - Habs used to have a history of not signing people during the season - that went out the window when they signed Gorges - sign him to an affordable RFA contract for a 3 or so years - then the UFA money deal -
The Habs showed that they were committed to him by trading Halak and trading their #1 AHL goalie and then subsequently signing 2 guys to be his backup who could never take his spot as the #1 guy on the team - MTL1
Well I guess Habs fans better hope he does. I'm sure he will after reading what you layed out. |

you'd think for being famous millionaire pro athletes a lot of them would be less....awkward - bobbyflex
To be fair a lot of these guys only focus on being athletes and perfecting their sport. Not a lot of room for a social life putting in the hours needed to be great at something. |

It's too bad Carey probably won't re-sign in Montreal. - whipper334
well...if he doesn't we'll be looking at a few draft picks, since he's a RFA. |

It looked on purpose when I originally saw it but it also looked like he was on crack cocaine so I don't think it was - Leafzrulez123
You obviously don't know what you are talking about, because if he was on crack cocaine he would have probably tried to piggy back on Chara and then tried to eat the microphone. |

hahahaha I love Price and he is my first pick to be our Team Canada goalie of the future but seriously, he does seem a tad on the slow side sometimes so alcohol can only make it worse. |

lighten up people, it's a party. He was one of the few who seemed to have fun, most of the others looked like they were called up to get executed. |

Some people will complain just to complain... It was fun and Price definitely seemed to enjoy himself, which is exactly what this was suppose to be... |

You think?
I think the chances of Carey NOT re-signing in Montreal are between 0 and 0.0000000000000000001 %.
But that's just me. - Kamal Panesar
I don't know, he's pretty good so they'll probably get rid of him (see koivu, souray, halak, camalleri, etc.) |

Koivu wanted $4M to stay. he wasn't worth it.
Souray - EDM had to bury him he was so bad
Halak < Price
Cammy - Terrible this year.
Or was that your point? |

Point is, they didn't negotiate with him. They had no intention of keeping him. |

He said we let everyone good leave and then listed players who either turned to crap after they left or weren't worth keeping. The fact that we didn't want to re-sign him was part of the initial post. |

Not worried at all. Josh Gorges, is best friend just sign a 6 year extension and mentioned something about Price looking at the same. |

Salut Habs fans! Forgive me for getting sucked into this nonsense that is Subban but I have a question for you... if he were available, and the Blackhawks were interested would this be enough??
To Chicago:
PK Subban
To Montreal:
D - Dylan Olsen
FW - Brandon Saad
C - Brandon Pirri
2012 1st rounder
Three top prospects a former 1st and two former 2nds. I realize that as fans you might want something from the current roster, but for the purposes of what Bowman is looking to accomplish for this season that is impossible - given that fact.... what do you think? Halak went for less. |

Would be pretty hard to let Subban go, but that package is interesting nonetheless.
Thing is, giving up on Subban now would mean that management acknowledges they need to rebuild and they will never do that in a market like Montreal.
Edit : I'm not so high on Pirri. Make that McNeill?
