Hartnell playing on a line with the Sedins, Giroux playing with Couture and Stamkos for those interested in the all-star game. - PLindbergh31

A scoreless first minute, more then I can say for the last two Bruins/Flyers games. |

It would be hilarious if one of these teams went in to the Tampa Trap for a minute or two.

Is it absolutely amazing to anyone else how Hartnell has gone from the frustration punching bag to a fan favorite in philly in like 30 games? I can't get enough Scotty Hartnell! - Flyers2821
I wanted him to sign here when he was an impending free agent. When Homer traded for him and Timonen, I was happy as a pig in swill. I bought a Hartnell jersey in 2007-08 and ordered the Hartnell down toque and t-shirt. He's been my favorite Flyer since Homer traded for him. |

Flyers' head coach Peter Laviolette will give Ilya Bryzgalov a month or so to show he is the netminder to carry the team in the postseason. Bryzgalov hasn't performed up to expectations this season. He has an 18-10-4 record, a 2.99 goals-against average, and a .895 save percentage. If the 31-year-old continues to underachieve it would not be surprising if Sergei Bobrovsky gradually took over the lead role in Philly. Bobrovsky is 11-4-1 with a 2.42 goals-against average and a .919 save percentage.

After that Stamkos penalty shot, after months of waiting I was finally able to prove an argument to a buddy of mine who plays too much XBox.
A penalty shot isn't called until the other team touches the puck like a regular penalty. In NHL12 they blow the whistle right away and reward one, which isn't right. Then again, you have to keep in mind on a breakaway the person to most likely touch the puck first is the goalie from the other team looking to make the save on the breakaway, which is why they are normally instantly get called.
Anyway, a buddy and I got into a huge debate over this last summer. |

Maybe it was because I was younger, but this game used to be so much more exciting to me in the 90's and before......

I can take it or leave it at this point. I'd rather have more players mic'd up and less talk from the booth.

As with last night, my son is loving it. He's getting to know players he'd otherwise only get to know through hockey cards and NHL 12. It's good PR for the league to its youngest fans. |

That's pretty much its sole purpose. That and advertising $$$.
