Dee once again you totally missed out on another opportunity, why are you so bad. JT did more than just open eyes at the ASG, Pierre was raving about him, Doc said he may have the best hands in all of hockey, and so on. OH never do really expect anything qualitative from you. |

ASG - did anyone enjoy the fact that the two guys we gave up for Yashin are both still making the all star game?
Chara was captain and fires the puck 108.8MPH.
Spezza fired the puck 102mph i believe. I know it was over 100mph. - Spartiarti
that happens with trades, how long ya gonna hold on to that?

I think we have to make a move, according to ESPN, we are not involved in any talks! I hope they are wrong, we have to make a move and get rid of rolston and honestly at this point will staios even play another game? Dump them and let the youth have some fun and gain some experience. |

I love Frans but if could acquire a good return then im for it. Isles are pretty stacked at Centre. Bailey has more upside than Frans does.
You have Cizakis who could easily take over as 3rd line centre. We have Strome and Nelson only few years away.
If he brings a jared cowen i would do it. |

we all do realize that when a GM contacts another GM they dont also contact ESPN or TSN or Ibob... Snow can be in contact with every GM in the league over the course of the day.. but if there is nothing of substance (this player for this player) Its not going to leak out.

Not holding on to that. It just Annoys me when i hear all these people talk how that isles dead end franchise that has been rebuilding forever. What they dont realize how far this guy Milbury set us back for years with his stupidity.
People Love to bash Snow but reality is he has done all he could for now. He has stayed committed to rebuild. At end of the day Rolston, Pandolfo, Staios and Reasoner are all Temporary. Place holders and nothing more.
Snow not going to do anything stupid. if he going to make a trade it will be for the better. Stay Patient. |

True and i know snow plays it close to the vest, but still have you heard anything? I sure havent. It's just a little unsettling to not hear anything. We have to make a move if we are gonna make a push, and if not are they gonna wait till the deadline to do something. |

This is where I write a long post disagreeing that Snow has "done all he could for now" and we go back and forth for the day.
Instead, let's just agree to disagree once again |

From the Cauncks Blog....what do you guys think?
To Vancouver- PA Parenteau
For
To New York Islanders- Jordan Schroeder, Yann Sauve and a 3rd rd pick
I absolutely love the way Parenteau plays and think he is going to have a huge playoffs for someone. He is grittier than a lot of our players and would be an upgrade to the 2nd/3rd lines. I know I'm offering a lot but there will be a bidding war for him and he is the type of guy Vancouver needs to get. Schroeder is the same type of player as Parenteau (but smaller and less gritty), but is a few years away so he will be a nice fit in a few years. Sauve should turn into a solid 5/6 D for the Isles as well. |

If that was what you ment then I cant argue with any of it.. Yes at some point Garth will HAVE to move some young talent for BETTER talent, but im of the mindset that we dont even know what we have in our prospects... everyone would love for them to all become NHL players.. but the reality is that for every draft... if only 2 players from each draft make it to your team, you had a really good draft.

So we are going to trade an ASSET in PAP.... for a player JUST like him but smaller & LESS gritty, a 5-6 d-men that we have in surplus & a third rounder.. Ummmm NO!

Shroeder is only 5'8"...we need to get bigger and I think Cizkas is going to be on the team either this year after we trade Neilsen or definitely next year. I might do it if Raymond was in the trade instead of Shroeder. Raymond would fit into the second line. |

I still dont think Snow gets rid of PAP. I mean one way or another I really wont care but we need to get something back of value for him no draft picks no prospects who might be ok or someone number one pick a few years ago who might be NHL ready. If we dont get a solidified NHLer then forget it |

PA, Nielsen, KO, Grabner and Bailey are our most tradeable Assets. Nabby only if a goalie of contender team goes down.
that said, if we not getting a strong young dman or A-typedman prospect in return i have no interest in doing a deal. If we going to get a foward - it's got to be a bobby ryan type deal. (I understand it would require more than just one guy).
I too am thru with Draft picks. |

YOU HAVE TO GIVE TO GET!!!!
Lets not use any names.....if you were a GM, who would you prefer?
1) a Solidified NHLer
2) a 28 year old one year wonder
