I think what annoys me the most about Rolston is how low his Hockey IQ is. He can anticipate a play at all. He just chases the puck around kinda like how dog chases a squirrel. Ever hear of cutting off the angle? - Spartiarti
Rolston = Larceny just steals his paycheck by cruising around with an occasional
Slapshot that is wide of the net. His work ethic is not a good example for the rest of the team. |

YOU HAVE TO GIVE TO GET!!!!
Lets not use any names.....if you were a GM, who would you prefer?
1) a Solidified NHLer
2) a 28 year old one year wonder
? - LetsGoIsles
I am giving up something. I am giving up a playmaker and a power play specialist who might be the guy to get a team over the hump. For that I want a solidified NHLer back hands down. |

I love Frans but if could acquire a good return then im for it. Isles are pretty stacked at Centre. Bailey has more upside than Frans does.
You have Cizakis who could easily take over as 3rd line centre. We have Strome and Nelson only few years away.
If he brings a jared cowen i would do it. - Spartiarti

Sound Tigers finished January with a 10-0-1 record. Now if Big Club can only do that in Feb for us.
I have no problem moving Bailey, but cant be just for anyone. Package for Top2 Dman, Parise or Bobby Ryan. Sure
Just moving b/c you think he a bust at old age of 22yrs old would be dumb.
Then ill have to listen to you Bailey Haters this year saying Snow is an idiot for trading Bailey when he doing well elsewhere next year.
Anyone read Staples Newsday - 1st half analysis. I think we would all unanimously agree. Best comment was putting Nino with Bailey and Martin. |

I hope he's packaged with someone good, because otherwise he's worth about a mid-round pick. |

Bailey is a worthless trade chip...hardly even a throw-in for the players you mention. He has zero value. It makes no sense to trade him at this time. That would be the ultimate "selling low" move.
Secondly, I don't think many of us here are "Bailey Haters." We say over and over again that he has not shown much yet and has a lot to prove when you try to make him the second-best Islander behind Tavares, and for pointing that out, we're "haters?" |

I thought Runblad in Phoenix for Turris no? . He hardly just a Prospect.
If there is trading partner team we can make a move its Phoenix. They need fowards and they have tons of DMAN.

Montoya, Nabokov and Poulin all skating at #isles practice today.
Not sure Nabokov would be skating if he was traded. Maybe he will be but no word on anything. |

I'd like to point out that I'm maybe one notch above being a hater. I'm all but ready to write him off. Last year most of the people here agreed that he really only had another season to prove himself. Well, 13 points and a -12 in 48 games doesn't seem like much of a year to me. I'm doing my best to put on my non-bias hat, I'll say that his defensive play has been "good", and I think that's giving him too much credit. Islanders drafting an all-offense center like Strome only proves that they are losing faith in Josh too. After his contract expires next season, I don't see any reason to bring him back. |

he hasnt been impressive- granted. and a lot of people said this is his year to prove he is worthwhile. BUT he hasnt been given a chance.... he plays with poopty line mates. give the guy a finisher and id bet the house baileys numbers increase significantly |

My best guess is that if Poulin was recalled there is some serious talks going on in regards to moving Nabokov. You don't just recall one of your best goalie prospects to sit in the press box for the hell of it. I do remember someone (can't remember who) saying that Snow was active during the All Star break and to possibly expect something after. Or something along those lines. |
