I can't agree with this.

Me neither. Bolier is much closer to the true pronunciation.

Exactly, commentators are paid to talk, they may as well attempt at doing it properly.

Can't find last years deadline but in 2010, Andrew Alberts was worth a third rounder. Gill should at least get that. Hell Andy Sutton got a 2nd.

Raffi Torres got a 2nd + prospect. Comparable to Moen, maybe more physical so remove the prospect?

Eric Belanger, Dominic Moore and Matt Cullen each fetched a 2nd. I think I'd place Kostitsyn as a better player than those guys... no?

Need him resigned, if he did say he would stay.

12M$ for 4 years would be a fine contract...a proven 20 goals scorer that plays physical, i'm fine with it. sure he had the potential to be much better but unfortunately it will not happen.

Beaulieu can't play in the AHL next year, it's NHL or CHL.
- Fredobface

so he would spend a 5th season in the QJMHL?

I think both options are available to him, it will be up to the team to decide

So you think he'd take less money than Josh Gorges?

? Why that comparison? A dman who is the heart and soul of this defence, logging 20+ mins every night vs a 20 goals scorer that may be put on the 3rd next year? Please explain Einstein, i really wanna laugh too

AK knows the use of a hockey stick, offensive players tend to make more money than defensive players.

Clarke MacArthur has similar stats and makes 3.25, so AK should make about 3.75

I said 12 for 4 years because some reported he was willing to get less money to stay in Montreal and based on his stats, he is worth 3,5M per season. My apologies for my dumb statement...

Easy there, Galileo. You are basing your argument on a combination of Gorges' play THIS year vs. your projection of what AK "may be" NEXT year? Really? Talk about comparing apples to dog turds.

At the time, he was seen as a top shutdown Dman (not saying it was a correct assessment). Chara is a top shutdown D, but he contributes offensively, notice the difference in salary.

I don't think he will take a cut from the $3.2M he is currently making, I can see a slight raise... the only dumb people are those that think he will give Montreal a discount
