She finds it amusing...she thinks that his dirty room is somehow to blame. I suspect one of the neighbours has poisoned some pests who came to my house to die (I live in a row of townhouses), because the smell is in the wall (where poisoned pests tend to go to die).

Fortunately, his room is in the basement, so I can clean it out tonight, air it out for a couple of days and we're fine. It's not like the smell is on the main or upper level of the house causing us all to smell the stench of death.

Around 10 o'clock last night, I was in my son's room explaining the fine art of personal grooming. It seems he has been using deodorant body spray in a quantity that overpowers every level of the house from the cozy confines of his basement bedroom. While explaining this subtlety of manhood, I caught a whiff of something rotten. After some searching around, I was met with the foulest stink imagineable in one corner of his room. It was worse than urine mixed with molding hockey gear and rotten fish. I moved around furniture to make sure it wasn't just a bad case of something molding. I have smelled that deathly stench once before, and it was dead mice. I am not looking forward to cutting into the walls tonight to locate the carcass(es).

Oh, I'm half guessing he smelled the death stink, and used his Adidas body spray as a room deodorizer, not thinking that the problem might be something other than just dirty laundry.
