Future considerations for Habs
Should the Montreal Canadiens make a change at GM after the season, one name to keep in mind is that of Vincent Damphousse.

The former Habs captain would have interest in the position, a source told ESPN.com. He does have some management experience from his days at the NHL Players’ Association.

If I were owner Geoff Molson, and I’m not pretending to be, but just for kicks, the five names I’d strongly consider if and when the Canadiens decide a change is needed at the GM position: Damphousse, Tampa assistant GM Julien Brisebois, Chicago assistant GM Marc Bergevin, TV analyst Pierre McGuire and former Flames GM/current TV analyst Craig Button.

So according to RDS (Damphouse), the new CBA (when signed) could be announced along with a league expansion at the same time. 2 new teams. That would balance the new division they had proposed but the NHLPA did sign the deal. That would make the players happy, balance the new divisions to 8 team in each instead of 2 of 8 and 2 of 7.

Phx has a decent fanbase but the new arena is so (frank)ing far from Phoenix, with the traffic...many casual fans don't bother anymore.

My uncle lives in Scotsdale and he told me that if you take the highway through Phoenix it takes 45 mins with traffic which is always the case, or you can take the highway that avoids Phoenix, without traffic it takes 40 mins.
