Ovechkin has shown up in the playoffs. Green, Semin, Backstrom, Laich, goaltending, defense have not. Is that solely Ovechkin's fault? I don't think so.

If winning championships are what make a player great and the only thing, then there are a lot of poopty players in the NHL right now. A whole lot. And likewise, don't talk poop on Dustin Penner because he won a cup. Or Tomas Kaberle for that fact. By your criteria, both are better than Ovechkin.

they did but that made a bit more sense... Roy was the backbone of that team for a number of years, won two cups with them and played for them almost as long as he did for the habs....
