You just made my day!!!
I loved the book club growing up. Do schools still do that? I remember you got a small pizza after getting a certain amount of stickers for reading books.

I dunno if they still do it. I haven't been to a Pizza Hut since I got too old for Book It.
Loved getting that big ass pin and loading it up with stickers. |

It's as simple as whether or not Weber wants to be there or not. Weber has already refused to sign with the Preds last summer, so both sides went to arbitration, which rewarded Weber with a 1 year 7.5 million dollar contract.
Why do you think everyone is so sure he'll be traded? - Schenn2shine
i think they keep weber, and suter walks in the summer. |

do they still have schools? - hammarby31
Yeah those are so 2010. Who needs schools when you have TV to raise your kids
School is cool.....book it. |

Who is everyone that is so sure he will be traded.. and why are they so sure? - jak521
I can't understand why anyone would think that he wouldn't be traded. Weber is one year away from becoming a UFA. He's an RFA this summer. If an arbitration judge hands him another 1 year deal, Weber could walk and Nashville gets nothing. |

Weber playing for the Preds for another year isn't completely out of the question but as long as remaining a Nashville Predator for life, it's looking more and more unlikely to me. Nothing is keeping Weber from signing a long term deal today. |

I thought the Preds GM only did contracts over the off season. No? |

The same could of been said for Drew Doughty. Eventually a long-term deal was done. Nashville will do what it takes to sign Weber especially if Suter hits the market. |

More likely at the draft table than before the TDL, IMO. FWIW. |

He is the best young d-man in the league, and a true superstar on the back end. Thats reason #1, and should be reason enough.
How would Weber walk if the Judge handed him a 1 year deal? I am thinking that Nashville will watch Suter walk and give big money and a bunch of years to Weber.

For Doughty it's never been a question of whether or not he wants to play for the LA Kings. It's been a matter of Money. All reports with Weber indicate that he wants to play for a team that's committed to winning. Weber already has the money. |

So say Suter gets traded before the TDL and the Preds get a great return.. a top 6 forward and a top prospect.. then use that money saved to go out and sign a few more offensive players in FA.. wouldnt that show Weber they are committed to winning? |

I'm not understanding why this is so hard to understand because I've gone into great detail to far. Not this summer but the next, if Nashville hasn't sign Weber to a long term deal before becoming a UFA, Weber can walk and Nashville gets nothing. |

Hopefully Bryz researched during the all star break how Stella got her groove back. If so, maybe he'll finally find his.... |

I disagree. Weber is going to still want money no matter where he goes. If Weber is that committed to winning and likes Nasville then sign a long term contract with a low cap hit and the deal can help add the pieces needed. However, thats not the case Weber still wants to be paid while having Nashville still being a contender (adding pieces if need be).

maybe the score will be 8-6 Flyers and Ron Sutter will score twice in five seconds. or maybe not. |

Nashville is in the playoffs if the playoffs were to start tomorrow. Why would they trade Suter at the deadline? Why break up what Weber and Suter have going during the regular season and the hunt to stay in the playoffs? If anything happens to Suter, I'm sure it will be in the summer. His rights will get traded or he'll walk from Nashville. |

It would have to be a heck of a package... - jak521
I think Schenn and Toronto's first is a heck of a package... It's only slightly less then we got for Carter. Consider that this draft is supposed to be very deep, much like the draft that we got Carter and Richards from. Schenn and Toronto's first could be our top pairing defense in 3-5 years, when B.Schenn, Couturier, Simmonds, Read, and VOracek will be at the top of their games. Good move IMO. |

Yes, Weber would have to like Nashville. Does he? He was drafted there, it doesn't mean he likes it there. |

My son is reading this series:
Our town's library has a book reading list for each grade and every kid that enters the reading program gets a bag of goodies at the end of the summer, including a gift card to B&N. |
