This is ridiculous, and pisses me off...For the life of me I cannot understand how this guy remains on our roster. He will play 4 min. tonight and see no ice time in the 3rd unless the game is a blowout.
I've been questioning the coaches all year and it's this kind of crap that tops the list.
How can anyone take this team seriously as a playoff team with John "friggin" Scott on the bench. - ArlingtonRob
Since he took over, has Stan admitted that anything he has done was a mistake? He talked Scott up after signing him and again this past summer. This just feels like a fiat coming down from above.
Make no mistake, I think Q should be gone for the line juggling and tragic special teams. I just think the Scott issue originates elsewhere. |

You want a deterrent? Make the most of the PP's you get as a result of any liberties taken and win the F 'ing game. Scott is not now, never has been, or will ever be a deterrent to anything as long as the instigator rule exists. Furthermore, when he skates 4 minutes a night, the chances that he'll even be on the ice when any nonsense happens is slim to none. With the roster as presently constituted, I would roll the dice with O'D, Mayers, and to a lesser extent Seabs and Shaw to be my on ice policemen. - Ogilthorpe2
You know how I feel about the giant mascot..
This won't make you feel any better but the thinking is Keith can play 30 mins and Seabrook 28 tonight cuz they have been resting...
In Q.'s mind the upcoming back to back on Thursday/Friday doesn't really matter much... |

With Scott dressing, those minutes are assumed. And I'm sure Leddy will be over 20 as well...start counting the turnovers now.

When or if the dollar loses its status as the reserve currency we would all be better off moving North of the Border.
That would be just about the worse thing that could happen to the US.

The only way Scott will be a deterrent is if he steps up and takes an instigator penalty to get in a fight with one of the weaselly Canucks. You know not one of the Canucks is going to answer a chellenge from Scott. - EKolb13
Fighting Scott is stupid. He's a bad hockey player and him getting ice time benefits the Canucks. If he wants to goon one of our players, great. The PP is the Canucks best weapon against that.
Bieksa already beat up Mayers to answer for beating up Frolik in the playoffs. Now when will Bolland answer for being a Richard constantly? |

He wont, but the Canucks are pu$$ys for not fighting Scott. |

Al,
A while we back we had a nice back and forth about team ID.
This nonsense of putting Scott out there to deter nonsense is so dumb and reactionary. Sends a message that we are a bunch of pu swaws...
Everyone and their brother knows that Van will be chippy and dumbass Scott or Montador will retaliate. Why not just play a similar style in that we just finish our checks and be pesty like Bolland and Shaw?
Anyways, this crap gets me back from worrying about adding pieces to focusing on who is driving the ship! |

Long a thing of the past. And if it wasn't for the rise of the Cdn. $ and sold out buildings every night at every Canadian NHL rink, Gary Bettman would be scrambling more than usual.
$10 seats in Columbus; $50 for 4 tickets and 4 hot dogs in Dallas; Phoenix Coyotes, league quietly advancing the NJ Devils money etc, etc. - not a healthy picture for the NHL in the U.S. But Gary Bettman will put his BS spin on it. |

This is in the realm of my vocation and some may say expertise. So long as the Euro continues down the toilet and every other currency continues to race to the bottom we will be OK. It is a relative thing...a dynamic concept...

in the next 5 years what currency would you bet on to hold its value the dollar or the canadian currency
not sure what would happen if we lost our reserve currency status other than the government may have to live within our means |

Why would he? I can't think of any GM ever coming out and admitting a mistake.. Even after they lose their job years later..
Pretty sure Marc Crawford still justifies not putting Wayne Gretzky in the shootout in Nagano..
IMO, Bowman going out and specifically looking for defensive help is enough admittance for me. |

once all the other dogs are gone you realize you are left with someone you would knaw your arm off rather than wake her up so you can leave

Just look at the inflationary disaster that happened in England when the dollar replaced the pound. Not a pretty sight. |
