Maybe, but how much stronger? - shruew
That depends on a lot of variables but unemployment and housing aren't going to improve all that much for quite awhile.
Canada will continue to have a number of trade advantages the US doesn't have for quite awhile too. |

That was my first thought, both teams most likely done and could be there watching either/both. |

Al, we just want to keep selling you guys oil from the tar sands, build some pipelines and watch hockey at night.
Apparently some tree huggers aren't so thrilled with that but otherwise everythings pretty good.
Remember, the USA never stays down for too long, things will get better. |

Like that scene in Trading Places: Sold !!! Since we're too much a pu$$ywimp to drill anywhere ourselves, let alone ANWR, I'd rather make Canada's export to the US as high as possible.
I'm not convinced the US will recover w/o hitting rock-bottom first. The trajectory we're on is unprecedented in our history.
Maybe even some good can come out of it in the long run, like more Canadian hockey teams & less US hockey teams. |

Hawks and Canuck both in the same situation looking for a 5/6 Dman and a 3 rd and 4 th liner. These two teams are close . I am still willing to say it will be the Hawks or Canucks coming out of the Weest to go to the SCF. |

I'm not as optimistic about the Hawks, but if you've been readings JJ's comments you already know that. I do think the 'Nucks are in good shape to repeat. |

I see some fans doubting . I think the only longshot could be the Kings. SJ have no chance unless they trade for a heart and a pulse before TDL.Det too old . |

Great fire wagon style game between the Penguins and Leafs tonite. MA Fleury absolutely stole 2 points for the Pens. |

The team that ponies up for a real Dman and not some broken down has been will be the team that comes out of the west. BTW are you coming down to P-town for the Winterhawk Giant game on Saturday? |

Ya and I'd rather keep the oil and gas in North America and not sell it to communist China. |

OK, everyone buying the Ruutu rumor, what exactly do the Hawks give Carolina for him? he is not Gretzky, but really all the Hawks have to deal are some less than elite prospects and a couple of underachieving lower liners. This is a seller's market to boot. Carolina will get better offers.
Then rejoin us please here in the land of reality.
Wasn't TSN also in on the bogus Tim Thomas to Chicago rumor?

I thought Ruutu's bro was still in Ottawa but he's overseas. But Ruutu has been mentioned going to many places.
I don't think there have been any Bill Zito clients with the Hawks since Niemi... |

Al,
I could be way off on this, but everyone I know who really knows something tells me Ruutu burned bridges here and Zitoi s persona non grata as well. Not to mention the cost of getting him. I don't see it.

When an opposing player finishes a check on Scott, it almost feels like they're picking on him |
