Let's just say I believe you all will be surprised (a good surprised).

My take -- he'll be one of the guys to step up in the playoffs while making fewer mistakes through the last 32 tilts in the regular season.

Even if he slots in at #3/4 on this team, he would clearly be capable of stepping in the top slotting if we had 2/7 injured. Plus, at only 20, he sure gives us more flexibility with trades, regardless of who would ultimately be put on the block.

Hey, Philco, can you help me get Montador escorted out of town???

Savvy, since you're tight with Leddy...tell him TO SHOOT MORE...he's got a howitzer. Hate to see it left in the holster all the time.

As for Monty, i liked the pickup at the time, though Junior did overpay. I still like Stevo's big shot, but he's a terrible fighter and does wear the proverbial "Clown Shoes" all too often.

Gotta think someone's gonna target the wrist.

I'm sure you'll get the same info as me...but it's a small bone not involved in movement. Can be removed...not repaired, but removed...so offseason surgery is likely.

Ahh, the love . . .
Philco, agree on both counts -- Leddy has a big cannon slap shot but would actually like to see him take that wrist shot, less time to react and set up . . .

And I_LOVE_the "clown shoe" description -- fits the guy to a "T." Seriously, have you seen many other pros fall down as much as Montador? At one point I was beginning to wonder if he was trying to skate on his Tuuk blade holders or maybe just simply forgot to put the blades in. He'd be great on a circus team

Can't take credit for the 'clown shoe' reference. One of Tomahawk brethren coined it here, but i can't recall who it was. BRILLIANT.

I'll take Johnny Oduya and Travis Moen and call it a good trade deadline.

Clown shoes are not limited to Montador. Most Hawk dmen wear a pair now and then. The reference may have been mine via another site.
