It's idiotic is what it is, and it's inexcusable. It's now official, Q needs to go. - Ogilthorpe2
I agree with the first part, but who else can they send out there to be a deterrent?

I'd rather keep Morin and the pick and lose in the playoffs.. While I don't mind Pyatt, if Aucoin is the dman Bowman brings in.. we're fcuked - pri$ey
Yeah, I agree. I wouldn't love a deal like this, I'm just saying this is the deal I can see happening. I'm not too confident in ol SB . |

The only way Scott will be a deterrent is if he steps up and takes an instigator penalty to get in a fight with one of the weaselly Canucks. You know not one of the Canucks is going to answer a chellenge from Scott. |

Morrison will come out firing. Excited to be on a good team, chance at a cup, etc.
Agreed on Nashville. St. Louis is moving up that list as well. Teams that sit back and force the Hawks to work hard, etc....pose problems. Halak is good enough to steal a series or two...per Montreal's run a few years ago.
I get what you are saying about a few years back, but Eager, Buff, Brouwer, Ladd, all were big boys. Hawks have 1 big boy right now, and he's madenning to watch live...Mr. Bryan Bickell. I did laugh out your loud at your meathead comment....That's all I hear from my section....HIT SOMEBODY YOU ..... - SteveRain
Haha, yeah. But that year it was a complaint that they were soft during the regular season then Eager stopped playing like a chotch, Buff decided he wanted to try real hard and look like a legitimate power forward for a month and Brouwer did what the staff asked punished people on the boards.
That really didn't come together I don't think until they squeaked by Nashville.
I am also of the opinion that if you wear teams down by possessing the puck and out skating them 4/7 times you will win that way.
Either way they need a good combination of luck and health as it stands but it shouldn't be discounted that they can still go far with the team they have should the right circumstances present themselves. |

You want a deterrent? Make the most of the PP's you get as a result of any liberties taken and win the F 'ing game. Scott is not now, never has been, or will ever be a deterrent to anything as long as the instigator rule exists. Furthermore, when he skates 4 minutes a night, the chances that he'll even be on the ice when any nonsense happens is slim to none. With the roster as presently constituted, I would roll the dice with O'D, Mayers, and to a lesser extent Seabs and Shaw to be my on ice policemen. |

And then the Hawks lose because their PK sucks. |

Just got done listening to the Canucks Flagship radio station, and a few things I found interesting from both the talk show hosts and callers.
1) Canucks fans having a hard time getting up for tonight's game (actually more excited for their game against Detroit on Thursday).
2) Bruins are now the more hated rival.
3) Without Eager, Byfuglien, and Burish, there is little hatred for the Hawks.
4) There is a fear of what the Hawks might be able to do by the trade deadline with all the cap space they have.
5) Most humorous call was in response to their poll question: "What would you do if you won a million dollars?" One response: "I would buy a farm". - hawks2010
I think there is still genuine dislike between the teams/fans. However probably not as much as there was from 08-10 when those guys mentioned above were still here. |

I don't think there is any reason to be or not to be confident right now..
There isn't a lot available and nobody else is making trades either.. Why does Bowman out of all other 29 GM's get blamed?
I'll make a judgement on his trade deadline acquisitions once they're made. |

Yeah, but still fun. There is a lot of satisfaction if the Canucks can pull out a W. |

That would make sense if those children are looking for an organ donor or a blood transfusion. |

This is ridiculous, and pisses me off...For the life of me I cannot understand how this guy remains on our roster. He will play 4 min. tonight and see no ice time in the 3rd unless the game is a blowout.
I've been questioning the coaches all year and it's this kind of crap that tops the list.
How can anyone take this team seriously as a playoff team with John "friggin" Scott on the bench. |

In regards to Scott, the only thing that makes any sense to me whatsoever, is that Byfuglien absolutly destroyed the Canucks by being a big body and the Canucks had no answer at all for him. Scott attempt to play that role but so far has been completly inaffective. I am happy he in the lineup. He is good for at least one bone head penalty. |
