The only way I upgrade at forward is if its for a star forward that shoots first and thinks pass second. In other words... from what is available... Nash, Iginla, or Ryan. Anything less, and I would rather stick with what we have.
But yes, I think we need to upgrade defense too. Maybe that deal between ANA and TOR and Philly are still going on.
To Toronto:
Voracek, Philly 2
To Philly:
Ryan, L.Schenn
To Ana:
JVR, Toronto 1, Philly 1 - RooNosHockey
Toronto gets molested in that deal.

I'm not opposed to adding a veteran dman, but it depends on the cost. If it takes an overpayment I would prefer the Flyers keep their picks and young players. - PLindbergh31
I'd have to look at a draft list again but I think we have 2 seconds. |

dominated? scoring chances were few and far between for each of the sluggish teams until the flyers carried the play in the third. - OrangeBlack27
Should of said "controlling". I felt like the Jets carried the play more than the Flyers yesterday. The Flyers had their chances no question but for two periods they were outplayed by the Jets. |

Toronto isn't going to give up their #1, and Schenn for Voracek and the Flyers # 2. |

Like the idea. Dont see Toronto giving up Schenn and a 1st to acquire Voracek and a 2nd rd pick.

Philly rapes both teams 2 teams in one night.
Say what you guys will about Jeff Carter, we could use a guy like him right now. In the area of face offs and being a pure shooter. Too bad this guy can't stay healthy at the moment. |

I believe the second round pick is Florida's choice, this year or next. |

If thats the case why not just trade Schenn and a 1st for Jvr and a 2nd? Who needs Anaheim. |

One of the more amazing things about Giroux's status among the league leaders in points is that he starts almost 55% of his shifts in the DEFENSIVE zone. No other league leader starts there more than 46% of the time.
Here's a simple chart that shows how many shifts each of the league's leading scorers have taken in the offensive zone:

Little hit the post in overtime, too bad he didn't in the shootout as well. |

I don't like Schenn. I would love for the Flyers to get their hands on Ryan. |

They were swarming more than the shot count in OT would indicate. |

Manny Malholtra is the ultimate wing man. I think he's at 13% of offensive zone starts. LOL |

Been clamoring for that 3rd/4th line center that can pick up those minutes/face-offs. |
