What it says to me is that the Flyers don't have a line that they can put out on defensive draws, among the top 3. And that Giroux is the best choice. Which that line hasn't been very good defensively. Giroux would be much better off obviously starting the majority of his shifts in the offensive zone. I expect Couturier to be the player they're looking for in that situation in the future.
not sure if this is leight, but I just heard Lavy being interviewed by Mike Misanelli, and Lavy said that despite what has been reported the Flyers do indeed practice shoot outs ... and only when in the middle of a lot of games on the road will it be further down on the list of priorities.
