still remember marinaro saying how much McD had dropped off and was a bust so it didnt matter he was traded "All the scouts i talk to say he doesnt matter anymore and thats why the habs havent made him leave school"

I'll never understand why he needed to be included in that trade. I never heard a bad thing till after he was traded.

He said the Habs should only do it if the Devils agree to a sign and trade, and they can't give Parise a NTC just incase the Habs want to get rid of him. The way he made it sounded was like the Devils were getting the better end of the deal.

Same, it was stunning that we gave up a high end prospect for someone that could have seemingly been acquired for free.

I think Slather included a kilo of Smack in that trade, Gainey was clearly on something to pull off those trades and contracts
