Let's say they find a way to package Plekanec +++ for a 1st line center... You put Leblanc on the 3rd line and one of Eller or Desharnais on the 2nd... Who do you choose?
- Pecafan Fan

Why would leblanc centre the 3rd line? For all the female doging you do about Eller this is pretty funny. keep Eller at centre and put Leblanc on the wing.

gionta gomez cammy were clearly the dead weight that needed to go. Plek might be a very good 2-way guy but he's not a number 1 C. he's Koivu 2.0 minus the heart. If you need to include him for a big 1st liner you do it.

Bring in Gaustad for the 4th line role. Keep the young core or PK, Price, Emelin, Pacioretty, DD, Eller, Gorges and Cole and Bourque will stick around too though Bourque has been invisible as Flames fans said he would be...

- muffin_man

Agreed 100%

But I would keep Gionta. He's been playing with Gomaids all the time since he's here. If Plekanec could be packaged for a guy like P. Statsny, Gionta can go back at scoring 30 per season IMHO.

Couple of goals, a fight, some hits, some PK. Banked one in off of DD's face, which isn't easy to do.

Do you still trade Plek for a big center if there is a good chance the habs can draft Grigorenko in June?

If we draft grigorenko, we need to make room for him.

He has been up and down, but considering the cost and what he brings when he brings is fine IMO.

For some reason, I like the intensity that Leblanc brings.

he's not a 30 goal scorer. Take out his 48 goal fluke (Gomez's fluke season) and he is exactly what he is, a 25ish, 50ish guy making $5M. He gives it his all but he's still a $5M cap hit for a 2nd liner.

I agree, I like him too, but I also like Eller. I just think leblanc will be better on the wing long term.

unless the big center is a tough 4th liner it doesnt make sense. Eller, DD, Leblanc, Grigorenko, Big C?

ok, 27.5
I'd still keep him even if it's not a popular choice

Has Leblanc been playing centre or wing in Hamilton?
