Time for a firesale...I just don't want Gauthier in charge of it.

No matter who is in charge they won't be able to get more then 2nd rounders for the players that other teams might have interest in.

Hopefully a new GM will be able to put together a new d-core in the offseason, hopefully he buys out Gomer and hopefully the top 5 pick that we get isn't the next Stefan.

I don't know why we would trade Plekanec,

Are you going to find another 2way center that can score 60ish points with a low first round pick?

You are going to need some veteran forwards and I would rather have kids learn from Plek then some random vet the team picks up in FA when they realize they only have Gomez and Eric in the Room.

I don't mind keeping him, I just think that more is expected of him than what he can do. With a better cast around him he would be a nice piece on a good team.

No matter what you do...keep that pick. The team lacks quality depth up front...they need that pick.
