I totally agree, but if the guilty party happens to be Chara, how do you stand up to him? Punch him? Tackle him?...he's untouchable after the whistle.

Remember the time Komisarek just jumped a guy that bumped Price and pummeled him? Komisarek got a five minute penalty and what happened? The habs killed it and went on to win.

If somebody takes a penalty standing up for a teammate, the others sees it as such and usually kills those off...

So in this case, yeah, it would've been worth the 4 minutes...although I'm not sure what the call would've been on the throat slicing with the skate...maybe a 10 min. misconduct.
