Once the Isles' get a taste of something that is far better than what they have now and a real possibility to happen, the last place they're going to want to go back to is the NVMC or Nassau County for that matter. If Nassau really wants to keep the team, Mangano and is crack staff better get moving on a plan soon, before Charles and Yormark ink a long-term lease for the Barclays.

can ANYONE imagine a scenario where the islanders are getting on the bus after the preseason game in the newly constructed barclay center, and one player turns to another and says "wow that place was a dump, lets get the hell outta here and play where we actually want to be, the coliseum"

I think the problem there is the seating. If there was a way for a little expansion then no problem. Personally I think 14,000 is fine as we will be able to fill it with our fans and not have much left for the other teams fans.

I hear you brother just stating where Balky may be coming from. I mean he is the CBA King and reminds us of it constantly. He remineded us that TAvares is horrible at even strength as well. So not everything he says is well accurate.

Obviously a lot has changed for JT since then, but as someone that's been watching hockey for a long time you should know that stats don't always tell the story. You can't argue that JT has blossomed into one of the best in the game, and we saw where he was heading even during those times where his point production wasn't what it is now. You made a comment about Nino not deserving a line promotion the other day simply based on stats. Again, it's not always about stats. I'm surprised you rely solely on stats as someone that's been watching as long as you have been. And to do it on the Islanders board, when you obviously don't watch them religiously like we do, comes off as someone trying to instigate.

If you watch the games, it would be crystal clear why we were criticizing the other players and not Tavares. You can't really criticize a guy who's getting crosschecked in the back, hit in the face, hacked in the legs, and still not shying away from battling along the boards, in front of the net and leaving everything on the ice.

For the others, well, it's easy to criticize players who do the fly-by stick check when a defender has the puck along the boards, constantly peel off to the perimeter when they have the puck, and immediately vacate the front of the net when challenged by a defender.

Our answer at the time, I believe, was along the lines of Tavares was not the issue, and that if he played every game the way he was, the points would come...and they have.

The pot has been stirred today. The debate is on.

I think you guys are argueing for the sake of argueing. No one can win this, I am telling you. Boys are just going to get frustrated and go home mad as hell.

DO not let that happen, worst things are taking place.

The team is on the verge of being very good. They need a new coach and a couple of pieces and they are there...then you can all enjoy the ride.

Weather it is on the Island or in Brooklyn, it will still be your team. And, it should be a good one.
