Little risk in a 10-year investment? Not sure how you reached that conclusion. Injury-history or not, 10 years invested in ANY athlete is a high-risk move. Especially for a defenseman who likes to throw his body around. I'm not denying that he's the most likely candidate for a 10-year contract in the NHL; I'm simply stating that no player should be given that many years. - steelydan
I don't think any GM really wants to give out 10 year contracts, even for a player like Webber. I think it's the only way under the current CBA that they can offer a player like that as much money as they are demanding and still keep the AAV low enough so they can fill out the rest of the roster and stay cap compliant. I would guess that if there was no cap, you wouldn't see nearly as many of these long term deals.
Garth Snow would probably still use them since he's an idiot, but I doubt many others would. |

Crims I know you liked Reids press conference the other day. Pure genious. The Eagles should be walking around with the Lombardi Trophy by next year.

I can identify those hands anywhere. It's either Wilbur Montgomery or Harold Carmichael. |

This doesn't make a lot of sense to me. The scoreboard isn't the official time. The official time is kept by one of the off ice officials, if I'm not mistaken. - MJL

McNabb's balls were so high up in his throat you'd swear he had a bag of marbles in his mouth. |

Yup. He just got frustrated at McNabb throwing the ball at his feet or 5 yards behind him all day long. |

Suter on #Flyers Kimmo saying he told him Philly was great at ASG. “We didn't talk about that. Kimmo’s a liar! He must have made that up." - Buts16
