#Flyers lines: 19-28-68; 27-14-93; 36-10-17; 32-24-29 - Buts16
Never understood why 68 was taken off that top line coming off a long break if 10 wasn't going to at least stay there.
Just so we're clear, I'm not asking for Laviolette being fired but he does make changes to make me scratch my head. JvR playing the point. Jeff Carter playing RW all of last season. Danny Briere taking the penalty shot at the Winter Classic. I know it's all by hunch but his hunches always seem to be a "Where did that come from" type of hunch.
With this said, I do like that the players are held more accountable these days. It's also tough to argue with a guy who has a Cup ring. |

A Coaches job is to keep looking for ways to improve his team. You don't do that by not changing anything. The Flyers before the All Star break and before Giroux's slump, were a one line team. If Jagr could spark another line, and the Giroux line could get going with another player there. Then the team would be deeper offensively.
Just curious, how have the players been held more accountable this year?

I want to believe Flyers fans are smart but when I read some message boards i want to blow my brains out. And we are female doging and moaning about Marshall now. More than anything, i am annoyed that they just can't seem to draft beyond the first round. - nastyflyergirl

I didn't like Carter at wing though he did prove me wrong by playing pretty well, I thought Carter should have been center |

yes I do, 30-40 goals in the bank every year is pretty damn good. |

After watching 24/7, you saw Laviolette give the players poop if they weren't playing well. The most notable was the Aves games. You're seeing him get upset and most importantly when he calls a time out because the team is playing sluggish. To me, if Laviolette calls a time out and it isn't because tired players are on the ice after an icing or with 2 minutes left in a game to pull the goalie, he's letting them know they look bad. |

Every Coach does that. Every Coach yells at players in the locker room, and during timeouts. That's not holding players accountable. You'll see the same yelling in the locker room on every 24/7. |

Terry Crisp is fired up.
he speaks glowingly about the Flyers offense but figures Lava wants the Flyers fired up to start winning at home.
I like Crisp, makes me laugh. |

I'm not comparing Laviolette to other coaches though. I'm comparing him to what we had before him. It was widely know that Stevens was soft on the players. Heck, from what I can tell Hitch was too tough on his players and lost the room nearing the end of his stint with the Flyers. |

WTSeravalli? Now it works. They had the Homeland logos up there and everything a minute ago. I tried it 3 different times.
I've got it on Sports Lemon now but thanks all the same. At least I'll keep the bookmark active. |
