Rangers do not play until Sunday. If we can pull something off against New Jersey, we could be one point behind the Rangers and seriously playing for best in the East. We're now tied with the Bruins but the Bruins have a game on us but they were shut out this evening.

Side Bonus for the Flyers.

Thanks to the Leafs shutout over the Pens, Giroux is now 2 points behind Malkin for the league lead!

Sounds like Ford is a bit better than most are giving him credit for. He may be unknown to us, but he's instantly the second leading scorer on the Phantoms now.

Ford's a 28 year old who has never sniffed the NHL. He was acquired to provide the Phantoms more forward depth. They had 8 defensemen and had to use one of them as a winger at several points during the season. This was strictly a trade to balance the depth on the Phantoms.

Great win last night and I would LOVE to see up pass the Rangers with a win. Only caveat is I want someone to beat that idiot Rupp senseless, and then salute to the MSG crowd!

Like I said yesterday, Ford is also a UFA this summer, so it will free up a contract. I am sure this was a factor as well. We essentially gave up on Marshall, and got nothing for him, but what are you going to do?

I think they felt that Marshall had developed all he could here. Ford's not a bad AHL level guy. Maybe they feel more free to deal a forward for NHL help or perhaps they got some bad injury news & will need to keep Sestito and Zolnierczyk up for awhile
