I don't think, as comprised, this team should harbour any cup aspirations. Too many holes in too many key areas, including behind the bench. Hang on to your picks and prospects Stan, you might need them for a rainy day next season.

This team literally has no system. It worked in '10 because they were so stacked up and down the lineup, coach Q BARELY HAD TO COACH. The hawks are NOT stacked now. Rookies all over the lineup, and rolling 2 lines on D because the 3rd pairing wouldn't be trusted in to do the team's laundry.

Guess what, nothing is working.

There are problems up and down this roster, and it begins with coaching. The lack of system is f*cking ridiculous. No consistency. No consistency. No consistency. Give me a coach that leads and holds players accountable. PLEASE.

Emery gave up goals at the same rate Crawford was. Feeds my contention that it does NOT matter who is in the net in front of this team.

I'm with you 100%. Everyone ripped huet when he imploded. Guess what? This is worse Maybe why talon burried his ass in Rockford for years.

Goaltending is a LEGIT concern right behind d. Face it. This team is going no where because bumhole bowman is to proud to admit his mistakes.

He plays John Scott.

He hires his best friend to run the PP and the PP sucks. Best friend still employed.

He tells his team to go out see what the other team wants to do and then react to it, instead of going out and imposing their will on the other team.

He preaches a non-physical, wave your stick at 'em style of defense.

Frolik, one of the hardest workers on the team, sits tonight and Bickell plays. Meanwhile, Hayes was demoted for no other reason than he was making Bickell look bad.

He keeps starting an obviously broken Crawford, and then fails to pull him before the game gets out of hand when he blows.

He keeps sending Keith out on the PP when that is the one thing that he's no good at...couldn't hit water if he fell out of an F'ing boat.

plus that will get you in trouble with the coaching staff for hitting

Haviland. When he coached last year, the team was focused and put together. Juggling isn't always a good thing. He can juggle his way out of chicago right now for all I care. Look at the Penguins, do you see them giving up when people get hurt or when they have a tough time? No because they have a coach with a system, who makes his team buck up, focus, and take responsibility for everything. We aren't blaming the coach without reason. We have player decision issues as well and SB needs to be help accountable for that. But the on ice problems are focus, intensity, stupid bench penalties, anything resembling a defensive system, and piss poor special teams. This despite the fact that playing in the game are some of the top players in the entire league.

Sorry about that rant, it's not necessarily directed at you, but trying to point out that there are serious merits to the theory that a coaching change is necessary.
