Emery gave up goals at the same rate Crawford was. Feeds my contention that it does NOT matter who is in the net in front of this team.
- Return of the Roar

Emerys goals were different the team had already shipped it in and he was comiong off the bench Cory is giving up BAD GOALS that deflate the team. Hes losing his net hes not seeing pucks the list goes on and on. HES BAD.

Only one game but 7 more road games to go. It's a little early for a must win game but game but the Calgary game is pretty close to a must win game.

Hey Guys,

I've been hard on the Hawks, but this effort even has me gobsmacked. This team has HUGE problems, and a free fall is not out of the question. Awful goaltending, awful team D...and our forwards just don't finish enough for the chances they make.

Everything SB does from now till the deadline should be with the post-CBA world in mind.

This year is most likely over.

Do not overreact and trade the future for a rental. I don't think there are rentals to be had that can turn this mess around, except for goaltending.

My last hope for this season would be acquiring a quality goaltender.

Missing the point...you had a one shot game with a period left...who cares how you got there. That is more alarming, your core guys taking stupid panic penalties. If they are so fragile to lose when CC plays his worst game ever, and you have a chance...and still quit... ahh what is the use....

I said this before: 36 GA in his last 11 games - 3.3 per game.

Is Emery going to be much better?

- StLBravesFan

You never know until you try. The last I remember we started Emery for like 8 0or 9 games and won like 7 of them. Does anyone have the numbers?

Also, the goals Emery gave up, he had no chance on, whereas the goals Crawford gave up were mostly garbage that he should have easily stopped. D can't be blamed on any of the goals Crawford gave up, except for the third one where Leddy just stood next to Ryan Smith while he screened Crawford on the point shot.

Crawford was HORRIAWFUL...agreed...but you can't say we would have won but for Crow...it was 3-all...we never led after blowing the 2-0 lead.

I really thought Dubnyk was OUTSTANDING tonight...not spectacular or flashy, but he quietly stymied us all night long, but because of Gagner's 8 point night, no one will remember how good Doobie was.

- philco28

The thing is, those soft goals just kick the crap out of your team, and it's hard to recover. It's even worse when there is more than one. Dubnyk did his job other than the first softie. But, this has been gone on too long this season, and we really need goaltending help!

Second in the league in goals for - the only reason this team can think about the playoffs is that they convert on the chances they create... largely 5 on 5.

Agreed. Until recently I thought this team was close, a move or two away. Now I believe this year is a lost cause. Too many holes.

You might be right because she sure didn't look like he gave a damn in that interview. I expected him to be seething and he was actually rather jovial. Good to know our Coach is really in control of things. If he doesn't give a damn when he gets embarrassed, hard to believe the players will either. I'll bet we see the same lineup tomorrow night.

The first goal Crawford allowed was a goal a pee wee goalie would have stopped. That goal let the Oil right back in the game. Then he put his water wings on and started drowning around his crease. The Barker goal was the capper. He flat out miffed it. I'm am a huge Crawford fan, but THIS SEASON, he's been so so..and i expected him to really build off his breakout season last year and he has seriously regressed and it pains me to acknowledge that he may be just a flash in the pan.

I second this. Start waiving guys and bring up the kids. Hayes played well and Olson did not look bad in his couple games up. Atleast guys like Hayes, Olson and Pirri look like the F***ing give a sh!t when they are playing.
