And it's quite possible those holes start with the guys in suits behind the bench! - Gasboy

The first goal Crawford allowed was a goal a pee wee goalie would have stopped. That goal let the Oil right back in the game. Then he put his water wings on and started drowning around his crease. The Barker goal was the capper. He flat out miffed it. I'm am a huge Crawford fan, but THIS SEASON, he's been so so..and i expected him to really build off his breakout season last year and he has seriously regressed and it pains me to acknowledge that he may be just a flash in the pan. - philco28
You're right...he hasn't done anything else this year (other than stealing a point in Detroit) to convince us otherwise! |

Agreed. Until recently I thought this team was close, a move or two away. Now I believe this year is a lost cause. Too many holes. - Ogilthorpe2
Not necessarily holes, but the entire attitude is wrong. Its the reason we're(especially you) saying tick-tock. I firmly believe a better coach would have this team top 3 in the west and we would be making legitimate evaluations of talent instead of saying everyone needs to be shipped out. If they gave a an effort like the other night, they would be a much better team. Still, its time for a new coach, and some more guys with heart and grit in the bottom 6. If more people played like Shaw and Kruger, we'd be a much better team. |

Second in the league in goals for - the only reason this team can think about the playoffs is that they convert on the chances they create... largely 5 on 5. - nathanjf
Rinne, Eliot, Quick, Niemi, Thomas - they aren't going to give up the 4 GPG the Hawks will need to win. |

I second this. Start waiving guys and bring up the kids. Hayes played well and Olson did not look bad in his couple games up. Atleast guys like Hayes, Olson and Pirri look like the F***ing give a sh!t when they are playing. - tokked
Can Olsen be any worse than the trio of Scott. OD and Lepesto. |

It's just so frustrating to watch the powerplay and penalty kill. They never do anything to change them, but because of the talent they must believe it naturally will get better. It isn't. |

It's sad to say,but we all have these different opinions and thoughts on what to do with the team ,coaching and management after a game like this but the reality is almost nothing will change.
Now other GM's will be asking for a lot more for any kind of asset the hawks will try to make a deal for just cause they know the position they're in. At this point a couple of defencemen aren't gonna help this team much.
This team needs changes top to bottom. |

The Rockford IceHogs, members of the American Hockey League, have signed veteran defenseman Wade Brookbank to a professional try-out contract, Chicago Blackhawks General Manager of Minor League Affiliations Mark Bernard announced on Thursday.

I feel for Crawford. Thought the guy was gonna be solid NHLer. Looks like the Hawks relying on bargain basement tending is backfiring this year.
Did not think I'd say this, but finding a stud veteran goalie sounds good about now. |

Hawks need go back to 101 checking class and learn hockey is a contact sport. A player can use the body to separate an opponent from the puck. |

At least it was Hall and Eberle helping Gagner burn the Hawks, not plugs like Horcoff and Belanger.
That was an odd game, as a well wisher of both teams, it was...interesting. |

Didn't say they would, only that we can't point to offensive production as a weak point of this team. Be upset, but don't create problems that don't exist. |

That won't happen if the coach doesn't implement it. |

Won't happen: can't white-flag it when you're still in 6th, not yet in danger of falling out of the play-off picture. |

First of all, I'm glad none of you clowns are GMs. This team has the talent to contend with any team in the playoffs, and just because you get blown out in early February you want a fire sale?
stanbo needs to get a stud d-man at any reasonable cost... and I agree with JJ that no one on the farm should be untouchable, neither is anyone not named Toews, Hossa, Keith or Seabrook. Spend the money and get it done Stan. |

Missing the point...you had a one shot game with a period left...who cares how you got there. That is more alarming, your core guys taking stupid panic penalties. If they are so fragile to lose when CC plays his worst game ever, and you have a chance...and still quit... ahh what is the use.... - TrueGrit

Agreed, that's not gonna happen. Truth be told, management wants to make the playoffs since that's where the profits are made.

Kruger a lazy ass bystander on one of the goals tonight. The kind of laziness that Kane routinely gets destroyed for on ths blog (like yesterday)...but he's not a spoiled rich kid, so I doubt anyone cares. |

will be the scapegoat for stan but stan has failed as a gm
stan gets credit for fixing our cap problems and how difficult is it to get rid of quality players and get very little in return
stan gets an F for a grade and that is the correct letter for him |
