Didn't Hayes have more goals than Bicklel in the few games that he was with the Hawks. Wait can't have that so they send Hayes down.

I didn't watch ANY of the game... but its safe to say hjalmarrson was a direct result of every single goal against.

He was actually way out of position on one of goals 2 or 3, possibly 4. It was a 2 on 3 and he was playing LD. The opposing RW pulled up at the blue line and Hammer stayed up with him, but standing about 6 ft away towards the endboards, not between the forward and the goalie. Winger dishes it and you get a 2 on 1 with leddy going down to break up the pass. Left Crow in a bad situation and Crow just made it even worse by losing his net.

It seems like after a nice win the Hawks have all of the postgame interviews available on their website right away. When they get embarrassed, not quite as quickly.

The Wings are a much better team...as are the Blues...and the Preds. Each of those teams has a system, and players that fit (and commit) into the systems.

The stats don't lie.

The Hawks say they are a puck possession team, but each night is different and the results suggest to me that either the players are incapable of a puck possession game, or are not disciplined enough to commit to it.

Frankly, I'm tired of guessing which. This team is exhausting to watch, and not really likable.

Oh...and as I've repeated ad nauseum...goaltending is consistantly bad.

Scott needs to go.
Bickell needs to go.
Brunette needs to go.
Crawford needs to go.
Bowman should go, but with the recent extension, he won't.

Replace those people with players and coaches who are willing and able to commit to a disciplined, tight system, and you'd be headed in the right direction.

This is were Stan has failed. Puck possession and speed was this teams identity and he picked up guys like Scott, O'D and Bruno. 3 guys that just can't keep up with that style of play. I said the same thing a few months ago this team lacks identity. We have our core that want to play run and gun and a bunch of passengers that are just trying to hold on for the ride.
