Keith just put a guy on his backside. You don't see that every day. |

That's been a problem with the Hawks this year, no secondary scoring. If Mayers, Shaw and Stalberg aren't scoring, they're screwed. |

Ah the too many men, how many seasons will it take for the coaching staff to get that ironed out? |

If marian hossa wants the puck, you can't have it...unless you trip/hook him. |

Stalberg clearly was at fault. Puck nearby the bench when he's about to step on, he has to wait. He didn't. |

I think part of the problem with our power play is that we throw the puck to/around the boards too often. Putting the puck on the boards gives the other team a good chance to get the puck back or a chance to get in position while you dig it out. |

Oh definitely his fault, but as a team, we have this penalty waaaay too often. Its a procedural penalty and shouldn't be tolerated at this high of a rate on a professional team. Its like covering up the tackle in football, pay attention and you won't get penalized. |

Pretty pathetic that they can almost look like they're on a PP the whole period...until they actually get a PP, then they look like garbage. The only team in the league who's PP is a consistent momentum killer. |

Out of the HB penalty box after ribbing some Nucks trolls....GREAT FIRST..Dubnyk has horseshoes. We should be up 3 or 4 cob. |

The Hawks already have a very big, mean D-man. His name is John Scott. He plays just as well as Sutton and Erskine. Yes, he's not the best with the puck, but he makes up for it in other areas like clearing the net and intimidating his opponents. It just seems like he has that "enforcer" tag that influence the coach's decision making process. Dress him with a mobile D-man and he'll do just fine on the back end...
I would love to have him on the Kings. - RedwingsAreKHL
john scott should be playing wing on the 4th line and just drill people in the corners and in front of the net. for some reason the coach would rather have under sized perimeter players or oldguys on the 4th line!
john scotts skating is good enough to go up & down the wing for 6- minutes a game. no matter what some may say, when he is dressed some of the extra bow shlit other teams may pull on our skill people is curtailed to a minimum.
i'd love to see the nhl resumes of the scott bashers, where they have played and i don't mean NHL x box 2012 or play station either. |

Big John has arguably been more effective when spotted as a 4th line forward.

Bickell either. He actually finished off a check near the boxes early in the 1st. |

100% myth. John Scott should be watching the game in a bar with the rest of us who can't play. |

I know it's early, but I think Kruger would serve as a better second line center than Morrison. C'mon Stan, trade for an impact player just once. |

not a whole lot of finishing checks in the first. Only mayers and shaw really. I know its Edmonton, but they should play every game like its against a top team. I think this is how they developed their inconsistency. |

More effective than what? Useless? Because that's what he is as a D-man. He is slightly better than useless when playing the wing...there's a ringing endorsement. |

Ogie..i know you despise Shapie, Scott and the only coach to win a Cup in Chicago in 50 years and that is your opinion...and i respect it. But, i'm not a John Scott hater. He is obviously a very poor hockey player, but when he has played at forward, he's been ok. If he was just asked to stand in front of the net a few times a period and create screens, he could be yes....useful. |
