NYI put Anton Klementyev on unconditional ($125) waivers, presumably for purposes of mutually-agreed contract termination - BringBackBalky

I know teams want the experience and totally agree that he is way easier to move cuz of that. I think with Nabby it will come down to how far we are out of the po, and weather he would really want to play here for another season. All speculation, but I agree that i see him beong moved over al. I personally would love to keep nabs. - nyi18
I'm confused.....didn't you say you saw them moving Montoya over nabby originally? |

If PA doesn't resign with the Isles, I would be surprised.
He has really come into his own here. Why leave now?
Take the money and enjoy the ride!!!
Nielsen... I can understand. The Isles should have extended him last year.
Both guys I would love to have back on this team next year.
I really can't see alot of movement this trade deadline.
Isles need to make a serious run @ one of the two Nashville defenceman, and Parise in the off season.
Do whatever it takes!!! - jimmc7722
If PA ends the season with 70 points, he'd be stupid not to test free agency. If Bergenheim can get almost $3m/year for scoring 9 goals in the playoffs, I'm sure a team out there would give PA an equally ridiculous contract. |

hockey games are won from the net and out.....next step is defense...pap is replaceable; ESPECIALLY with the prospect the isles have at forward. you can never have too much defense |

If they make a move like that I'd be happy. If one isn't available you should sign the guy. I mean he is going to have 70 points this season |

Now's the time to deal PA......sell the high. I'm also not in love with Grabner. Yeah he's fast......but I just don't think he's a winner. |

Yes I did. I only mean that obviously it is easier to move Nabby cuz of the experiance. But i think snow and the organization really like Nabby and would rather re-sign him over al. Montoya has but up decent numbers this season, nothing great but Def decent. |

Really? You think the rebuilding isles would rather re sign a 36 year old over a 26 year old? |

No I don't di*k, but how many goalie prospects do we have ? And does this front office do many moves that make sense? |

LEts face it though Montoya is not the future goal tender for this team Poulin and or Nillson is. Nabby can provide the veteran ship and help those guys. Montoya can not. He seems to like it here the team seems to look up to him so I can understand where the other guy is coming from. That being said Nabby probably will get traded but dont be surprised if that never happens and he is resigned |

What's the d!ck comment for?
The isles can have 100 goalie prospects, but that doesn't mean you trade the guy who's played well all season......especially when he's 26 |

No problem I got ripeed for saying that a few days ago. I mean it makes sense to trade Nabby as that was the plan the whole time but at the same time things are different now. |

I think Nabby and Montoya has played about evenly to be honest. You are not going to carry 3 real young goalies though and DP. One has to go. They will not trade Poulin and Nillson right now so the logic sense is Montoya with a veteran to help them out and God knows the last thing they need is DP teaching them |

Montoya is not the answer. He has been good at times but I have never seen an NHL goalie give up more long shots than he does. If isles want to be a playoff team they will have to do better than him. |

Ok i should have clarified, we have 3 good goalie prospects. He has Def played well, and truely I don't want to see either of them go. Dp, I hope for the love of god that he OS banished to the minors or just retires. And the Richard comment was cuz the way you answered was Richard. Of course it doesn't make sense to resign a 36 over a 26, I was just being a Richard my self by saying that this organization would probably(due to history) resign Nabby over montoya.
No offense. |

I disagree.....and I'd have no problem letting our future goalie tandem be Montoya and Poulin. The isles will not compete for the cup till 2015 simply based on wangs inability or not wanting to spend.
Don't be fooled with Nabakov......he knows that if he "plays the game" (and I don't mean hockey) snow will do right by him and send him somewhere he wants to go.
Man a lot of people on here have such short term memory loss. When the isles went with three goalies......Montoya was CLEARLY the best. Yes, nabby has played well, but it's not a coincidence that the trade deadline is approaching.
May I remind you Nabakov fans, this is the same guy who refused to report........that's the bottom line. So let's not use him as an example when it comes to leadership!!!! |

Exactly, and if we win the next few, its gonna be even harder for Garth to accept a trade unless its lopsided. If we blow the next few say adios to Nabby. These next five or six games will give us a good idea of what's gonna happen. |
