No need to panic. Eddie just said that despite picking up 1 of 6 pts so far, there is "lots to build off of".
Huh? |

Here you go. Keith will be the deal that haunts this team for years. Guy lives off reputation.
2of3 goals directly on him yet Eddie o, sassone, Rogers, and half this blog will make excuses for him. He's tired, blah, blah. - SteveRain
Yep its a constant at this point good ole candian boy could do no wrong. He stinks plain and simple. Hes no longer "playing bad" he "is" bad. Mistake after mistake after mistake.
Just like the other night on sissy boy Danials goal. "Lets just sit here and look at the best set up man in the game maybe my stare will scare him OOPS theres the pass right past my stick." He was on the ice for every goal Or him getting torched in edmonton or tonight on the ice for all three again |

Well to be fair, the hawks played some solid D most of the night. They got beat by some bad penalties and a big gaffe by Keith. Then they panicked in the third and went into slot machine mode.
Then again, I thought they had lots to build off of after the vancouver game.v |

Let's see.. Their offense is still slumping, their special teams stink, their defense gave up three goals to a dreadful offensive team, Hossa looks shot, and Bryan bickell was arguably their best player. So exactly what are building off of the fact that we didn't give up 8 goals? |

Look the d couldn't get much worse than the night before but they also missed some wide open cages, and Keith was awful tonight. He was on for what two or all three goals? Can't give up three goals to a pitiful offensive team. |

like what....only losing by 2...only giving up 3...bickell allegedly has a pulse now.
They were on fumes after the 1st...it was one and done. Flames played a smart game vs a beaten down opponent.
0-5-2 in there last 7 road games....oh joy heres comes 6 more.
Now they 3 days off to watch the Blues, Preds, and Wings distance themselves even more. |

See you guys Tuesday.
They'll be battling for 8th by v-day. Their top guys are dead, and their depth sucks.

Yep. Sounds like maybe the company line there by Eddie. Not sure how he can say that with a straight face.
Maybe he meant the fact that Crawford didn't give up any goals tonight, so there's that. |

Beaten soundly by a team with inferior talent. Calgary is a well coached team as most teams in the league are. Hawks are a train wreck. Q will be fired by the end of this road trip. |

Iginlas goal lies entirely on Keith, I mentioned that. Jokinen's goal was an absolute rocket that hardly any goalies would have stopped. The other goal was on the PP and our PK is a known train wreck. In 5 on 5 play tonight the D was fairly solid. Especially good efforts from backchecking forwards. Everyone misses open cages, we did it a couple times too. Sometimes they miss the cages because of the D play. 3 goals to a poor offensive team does not itself indicate a bad defensive effort. There is usually more to the story. Look at the Van game that we lost earlier this season where all their goals came on the PP.
Bad penalties will kill you. And changing the lines up again does nothing to help the offense. |

See, it's NOT the goalie.
Clown shoes most noticeably worn tonight by Mr. Active Stick himself, Duncan Keith.
Lame, soft team these Hawks are, and everyone knows it.
So Q, rather than rethink HOW they play the game, continues to switch up lines in the hope that the almighty matchup game will solve the problems.
Can this team even get 90 points this year? |

Anyone catch that interview with coach Q? Seems like hes blowing steam out his arse. Really, your fine with the team you have right now? It almost seemed like he was smurking.......as if he is trying to drop a hint to stan bowman. Im surprised he was that composed for the last 2 post game interviews |

I would make the move now, this team needs stability. Mikey took over last year when Q was sick, he changed the lineup and set up lines that he left together and I believe they won four straight. |

Even if the coach changes, you still have 3 good dmen, 1 dman learning and trying to play over his head, a team that doesn't play physical, top tier guys burned out and questionable goaltending. Maybe you'd see a change in special teams. Maybe. |

12 home gms and 17 road gms left= 58 points...yeah they can probably limp there.
road games left: Preds (2), Wings (2), Blues (1), Sens (1), Rangers (1)
So of their last 29: Blues (4), Wings (3), Preds (3), Rangers (2), Sharks (1), Nucks (1)....half are with teams above them....
