I'm expecting the most notable thing to come from this game will be Schenn concussed. Getting hit with a shot flush like that coming off a concussion isn't good. |

well, at least a 4 goal third period took a bit of the sting off the loss ... and maybe provide some energy going into tomorrow's game.
good to see Bryz continue his solid play. |

The Devils just needed to settle the game down and settle the crowd down, we don't do well when the players are antsy and the crowd is on their backs. - _Zippy_
So you're saying the only way for the Devils to win at home is to purposely not have fans at the arena? That explains a lot. |

If you watch the replay, after the fight, Schenn blinks rapidly on the way to the box. He blinked out "concussion" in morse code. |

With nothing to lose they still play hot potatoe with the puck there. ugh! - JoeRussomanno
right. let's make 6 extra passes with less than 10 seconds left in the game. |

We can be proud of this team guys. They put themselves back into after getting screwed in the early half. There is no question the Refs weren't doing their jobs in this one. I saw a couple of make up calls but it's kind of hard to make up for a game when you put one team down 6 to Richard. |

I expect someone to challenge the guy. He's been destroying guys with hard checks all season. - PLindbergh31
Challenge him to what? Volchenkov isn't going to fight anyone. When is the last time Volchenkov fought. He plays hard physical Hockey. It's part of the game.

Of course a smartass comment was coming, when we play in another building, we don't do well when the crowd is loud or the other team has serious momentum because the players think to much and get too cautious instead of playing and reacting. |

i would have liked to at least see somebody run him for his elbow on briere. it was late, and dirty and deserved punishment. |

they screwed themselves by not being ready to play. the officials didn't help, but there's no rule against killing off a 5 on 3 or saving a stoppable shot when the team needs it most. |

I don't recall this to be honest, but I won't argue with that.
I still think Rinaldo is lucky that Kovalchuk didn't get to him earlier. Somebody should've done something more for that slewfoot, plays like that have no place in hockey, if Mills or Boulton did that to Giroux or Jagr, I would be embarrassed to be a Devils fan. |

Don't be silly. You were just told he doesn't fight. End of discussion.
I wonder if Schenn knows Kovalchuk doesn't fight. |

Well, I hope everyone on the Flyers learns to grow up and play even when calls go against you instead of feeling sorry for yourselves. Allow a late period goal, take a penalty, which then results in a PP goal... that poop could have made the difference today. |

Had the game stayed out of control I would agree. But as they started the comeback circumstances changed. There will be another game......

I am pretty sure that's what I said?
When another team has momentum, our players get antsy and don't just play and we sit back too much. Realize a complete difference from right after the 10 minute mark then five minutes left in the period when we settled down? |

Way to save face. Peter, you gotta explan to these guys that the trick is to score 4 goals in the first period not the third. Also Pete, explain to them that when you start a game with you head up your butt you're only making it difficult on yourself and cheating the paying customers when you're home. |

They self destructed in the first, not helped by the non call on Giroux getting tripped. And then didn't come out ready to play in the first few minutes of the 2nd again. If they had righted themselves and played well to start the second, who knows what might have happened. |
