What does it matter if it was prior to the lockout or not?
I agree about the slewfoot. It doesn't have any place in hockey.

That was a douchebag move, I don't condone that at all. I don't know if it was incidental or not, but that is not as bad as Rinaldo's which was purely done on purpose.
Parise slashed and broke jagrs finger. dirty! - flyfan1212
The one sided score, dictated there would be some chippy play. It's two division rivals. As soon as the Devils scored the second goal, the Flyers went right in the tank, until the third period.

Now we're going to get on a high horse about level of douchebaggery?

Rinaldo's play was uncalled for without question. I suspect Shanahan will be taking a look at it. I don't think it is suspension worthy, but based on Rinaldo's reputation I wouldn't be surprised if he got a game or two.
As far as on the ice goes, Kovalchuk handled things the way teams should. He pounded an opposing player. That was a rag doll bullying of the highest order. - PLindbergh31
He is looking at that and I believe a late hit on Josefson.
I was not impressed by his slew foot today. I missed it during the game.
Overall he is showing strides, but that was a bumhole move to Parise. - Marc D
It was. Rinaldo is good enough where he doesn't have to resort to that stuff.

I don't know for sure he is looking at it or not. I don't think what Rinaldo did is worthy of a suspension, but like I said, based on his reputation there may be supplemental discipline.

Nope. Just saying, in a 6-0 game between division rivals, you're going to see some nastiness and dirty play. Guys get frustrated and do stupid things. Fortunately it seems that nobody is injured, and if suspensions are coming, then I can't say I disagree.
I was kinda surprised at 6-0 it didn't turn into a powder keg. Those are the type of games that usually get way out of hand. Flyers played a great third period and hopefully some momentum will carry into tomorrow.

oh no doubt. hopefully they can build off the strong 3rd and take it to the rags.
I think at the very least it deserves a fine. - MJL
I think a fine would be appropriate. And I think that would likely be the recourse, but based on the perceived Rinaldo reputation, it may be a suspension.

That's got to be the hope. The comeback, although it fell short, is encouraging.
