Sestito nearly had a goal against Nashville. Hit a post IIRC. - Duran76
Sestito does have some skill and he's not a bad skater, I wouldn't be shocked to see him score a goal soon.
If he was playing against the Flyers he'd get one. |

I like what Sestito brings to the ice. He seems to be staying disciplined so far.

Devils' lines in warm-ups: Parise-Elias-Kovalchuk; Sykora-Zubrus-Clarkson; Ponikarovsky-Josefson-Bernier; Boulton-Mills-Harrold.
Devils aren't even dressing Jansen. They are electing to play a defenseman on their 4th line in Peter Harrold instead. Tells you how useless these goons are. - PLindbergh31
Mills/Rinaldo
Shelley/Sestito vs Boulton. I expect Boulton to beat either.
and maybe Clarkson/Simmonds
this game might get ugly |

Laviolette reacting to what the other team is doing, instead of using the same lineup that defeated a red hot Nashville team. Pathetic.
Put a losing player into the lineup because the Devils are dressing Boulton and Jansen. Comical.
As I pointed out the other day, the Flyers are under .500 in the 20 games (frank)face has played. Guy is a pathetic -6 in limited ice time. Of all the players in the NHL who average below 6 minutes of ice time, Shelley has the worst +/- of any player in the sport. Get this (frank)ing slug off this team already. I'm sick of looking at him. - PLindbergh31
Devils only dressing Boulton.
We're dressing 7 d-men, including Peter Harrold, who will play RW/D.
I doubt the Devils come with a win, our depth is depleted heavily. We have our top defenseman out in Larsson, and a very reliable one in Tallinder, and Zajac and Henrique aren't in. Our top centers aren't natural centers. If Zubrus wins one face-off the entire game, its an accomplishment for him. |

I see no need to change the lineup but Lava must feel they need the size over the speed of HarryZ. Shelley should have no impact on the game anyway, I think Mike Ruff said it best. - Buts16
He had an impact in the last game vs. the Devils. The impact of Boulton's fist crushing his skull. |

Matt Read fulfills his childhood dream of centering Sestito and Shelley
19-28-68; 27-14-93; 36-10-17; 45-24-32
he deserves rookie of the year for that alone - Buts16

You've got Elias. He flat out kills the Flyers.

Boulton isn't that good of a fighter.
Clarkson doesn't fight much either and Mills only fights if someone does stuff to instigate him or someone does something cheesy to another player. |

Devils have been ravaged by injuries just as the Flyers have been. Deboer has done a nice job keeping the team competitive. |

Boulton got the best of Shelley last time
Mills/Rinaldo have a history
Simmonds crushed Clarkson in a fight earlier this year
That's why I think they may all happen. There may be no fights but this game and these lineups seem very combustible to me |

Yeah, but the Flyers have more depth offensively. I am confident in the youngsters to come up and not be liabilities, but I highly doubt they will be huge factors positively for us.
The Flyers line-up with injuries is still very strong, the Devils haven't had their top three centerman all suit up for one game together. Josefson, Zajac, and Henrique have all never been in the line-up at the same time. |

Sam Gagner had more points in one period vs. the Blackhawks then Shelly has had in 78 games played as a Flyer. (frank)ING PATHETIC. |

I guess, but at the same time, the Devils don't fight much to me. Only when we are down and need that spark. |

Can't wait for Briere and JVR to get back so Sestito can be sent to Adirondack, and Shelley will remain on the roster. |

It's a torn Achilles, it's never going to be 100% again, he even said he will have to maintain it.
The Devils have been very cautious this year. If it was playoff time, I think you'd see Henrique in the line-up right now, he just has a groin strain.
Bernier has been a pleasant surprise and Ponikarovsky has played very well since we acquired him too, you'll see them take at least two jabs a piece when the puck is clearly covered. |
