You ever play sports? If I'm out there battling my (frank)ing ass off every game, and this poopty goalie poops the bed time after time, why the (frank) should I care anymore? That 2nd goal cost them the game, they tied it back up, then Bryz costs them the game again.

If they have to play the Rangers in the playoffs they are screwed, the fans said it right at the end of the game "you can't beat us" and they haven't since last season - VigilantKi11er
I'd take the Rangers over Boston right now.
Although the Flyers would need some breaks to beat the Rangers this year, I still think it is a better match up. |

and if they had to play the penguins or washington that year they would have been knocked out. But the cards fell in our favor. It can happen again. If the rangers or boston had to play carolina they would get knocked out. We own carolina. It just happens from year to year. The friggin jets man. |

Watching the Puppy Bowl right now and there's no way Bryz would be able to compete with teams like these. |

They are close. You are going to tell me that 2 years ago that team was? No friggin way. This team is heads and shoulders above that team. They got in on a shoot out. They got hot at the right time and the setting was awesome. NJ- we owned them that year. Boston, injures started taking their toll on them and they had a rookie goalie. Montreal, joke. You saying that cant happen now? We couldn't get in as a 4/5 seed. Play the senators, we own. Then maybe pitt, we can definitely win in 6 or 7. Its possible. - Deasr1
They aren't a contender. We all knew it going into the season. What were seeing is a team performance we all thought was going to play out this year. A team that will seed in the 5-7 range. To be elite they need the bigtime Dman. If they get a Suter this summer and maybe go after a huge fish next summer when Kimmo's contract comes off. This team will be a monster in a couple years. Bryz will get himself turned around |

Rangers are in a groove right now, they just make the easy play to get pucks out of the zone every time. - Marc D
Bryz gave up three goals that he should of had today (and im the biggest supporter). The Rangers were still the better team today on the ice. The Flyers need to do a better job all around. They make too many mistakes early and late in periods. You have to expect up and downs with so many rookies playing in the lineup. Their a team that is good enough to compete but not good enough to contend. |

Thanks for telling us that you don't. They are professional athletes, they don't quit b/c someone else is not playing up to par. Furthermore you don't point fingers in team sports, you find solutions. - JoeRussomanno

Im sorry but if Bryz gives up a goal like Lundqvist did on Simmonds people would be all over him. - JoeRussomanno
if they did, they would be wrong. that was hardly a bad goal. pp. 1 on 1 in close and all day to place his shot. simmonds had him at his mercy and he buried that, as he should. |

ok, it's Bob vs Bryz again
In December he was given the "o it's not playoff time yet" ok it's only February

This is the most disheartening. Fine, a poop shot gets though, but don't let it change the rest of the game. Stuff snowballs on Bryz, and some of that has to do with him mentally. Can't let that happen, just have to go forward. Even if the 2nd goal gets through, if he makes the rest of the stops he should, the game may have turned out alright. - eayost

I agree, very tough to be a rookie D man in the league.
They have played Bourdon and Gusty a lot and it has hurt them.
Those guys are learning as they go and the mistakes n D are magnified. - Marc D
I think they need to make some sort of largish move by moving some of the forward depth for a good young D-man who projects at least as a number 2 type guy. Need to set the table for a strong run in 2-3 years, while obviously hoping next year chips fall in your favor and maybe you make an unexpected run (see 2010). |

it's been explained. yesterday was on the team. a preposterous effort from them until it was way too late. - hammarby31
It's the same situation but its just easier to blame the goalie. I could just as easily say Bob was terrible yesterday. Guys are whiffing on open nets and quite frankly the Rangers are a better team. One goalie doesn't make a whole team better. If that was so Buffalo would have won multiple rings with Hasek. These so-called backbreaker goals are coming off stupid plays. The same stupid plays teams like the Rangers and Bruins don't have a habit of making but the flyers do. |

Lets enjoy him for 1 year more before we cannot afford him. He will probably score 20+ this year and next and with the hustle and grit, thats probably a doubling of salary at least.
I wish I could say that we would have won the game with Briere and JVR. Problem is, I don;t think we would have. We might have with Pronger fully healthy though. - PT21
Simmonds will get a long term deal here.
Made to be a Flyer.
I'm sure they will over pay too. |

Odds on in the rangers favor, but the fans don't play the game the players do. A lot can happen between now and then. Hank gets hurt and the edge goes to the Flyers. |

Bryz has no fuc&ing balls really,
o o o o o my confidence, ooooooo
he's 31 years old & established, at least before he arrived here
done with this guy
he can join Wade Redden as yesterday was not on Bob, Bob was left alone & the hack on Giroux and allowing a breakaway from the non call screwed up the situation - puckhead17
Redden did not have a NMC. Like it or not, Bryz is here to stay for many years. |

they lost yesterday because they weren't ready to play and lava waited too long to make a goalie change - combined with a bit of bad luck and brutal officiating - and you get what you got.
bryz seems incapable of getting past the bad goals. every time he takes a few steps forward, he plays like he did today, and he's back to square 1. when is the last time you saw lundqvist give up garbage like bryz today? even 1, let alone 2? he just doesn't give up bad goals. the rangers are a collection of lunch pail players with a couple of "stars", one of which is they're goalie. they work ferociously and don't give up garbage and they win because of it. the flyers don't have that attitude, and they don't have the goaltender. - hammarby31
Agree. I think the Flyers' 18 skaters are much more talented than the Rangers' 18. But the Rangers are a better team. Not not sure that the Flyers skaters can compensate for the difference in the goalies. I want to say not to worry it's only February but the goalie scares me. |

And Schenn and Giroux missed open nets today too.
Rangers are 1-2 years and a goalie ahead of the Flyers.
If Homer doesn't trade away picks and young talent, and they get a D man or two via UFA lets see where the Flyers are then.

True. I meant the team as a whole. There have been players that have been consistent, but that doesn't mean anything when the team has breakdowns in whatever position. |
