Well stand pat then .I don't think you will go far giving up 11 goals in 2 games . - vancouverdawg
Homer will make a move. It won't be for a player like Ballard though. |

I know it.
Matty has been making up for Bourdon a ton this season and is one of the reasons Bourdon has looked good.
MAB had a rough game, I expect Lilja will be in next game, but who knows.
They could use another D man, I am hoping this weekend doesn't put Homer into panic mode and over pay. - Marc D
thought Lilja sucked yesterday |

Truth be told Gillis probably won't move Ballard because what is being offered like Gill Sutton Allen are downgrades so why bother, right? |

As well, everyone wants to focus on how the rags play in front of the goalie, how many 35-40-45 save games did Thomas have this year
That Gaborik goal just pissed me off!!
I think that was the worst one of the year so far, 5 seconds left, close the post - puckhead17
Is it total shots per game against, or is it the quality of the shots given up. The Flyers give up less shots per game, then both the Rangers and Boston. Are the Flyers the best defensive team out of the 3?

Wish I had you confidence in the Flyers goaltending. I've tried to hang in there with Bryz. He obviously has the ability, but I'm starting to think he got the big payday and is done. Happens to a lot of guys. Bob shows flashes, but I'm not sold on him. He works hard and has improved his stickwork, but has disappointed every time he's gotten the chance to run with it. Maybe he'll one day be a starter, but with Bryz's contract it's hard to see that happening. As for the rest of the team I am very optimistic. I'm not expecting a deep run in the playoffs this year. I can see the team is being built for the future and I'm OK with that. Hope you're right about the goaltending and as the team improves his play will improve too. - Dkos

Playoff they will bring him in to play with Ballard. If he played on the Canucks he would get 10 min a night so he is in the AHL playing 20 min. He came up two weeks ago and played he looked very good. |

I'd be happy with one guy who can play some reliable minutes.
Having 2 of Gusty, Bourdon and Lilja in the line up every night is tough. |

I know you love the guy & the last 5 games I was feeling the vibes, he was coming on, the save % was ugh climbing up to .90% & I was ever so happy, that Gaborik goal was the worst one & really got to me.
yesterday was the worst non call the Zubrus hack to Giroux legs leading to the shorthanded breakaway goal, what a weekend!
But man that Gaborik goal was so bad |

Ballard is not atrocious, but he's been a disappointment for sure. Last season showed you can't have enough depth. They'll keep him because he knows the system and can skate with the crew. Hamhuis and Bieksa are more troubling right now. Their game has been up and down lately. |

That is a good strategy.
I would love him on the Flyers.

I don't love the guy. Overall he's been disappointing. He was disappointing today. I'm willing to stay positive and look forward. Being negative and giving up on the player does nothing for me. I still believe that at some point this Season, he will get it together.
And I want to say this on the Gaborik goal. This is no excuse, but 9 times out of 10, that puck hits the paddle and stays there.
I have a much bigger problem with the Del Zotto goal. That was far worse. |

That was probably the softest goal allowed all year. The Flyers didnt play well this weekend and will have to regroup and get ready for the next game. |

He did come off injury but his biggest problem is our coach. He is in the doghouse and once you hit AVs doghouse it is a long way back. Ask Shane Obrien or Trevor Lindon .I am suprided Hodgson has been allowed out of it. |

Not really. A lot of the problems the Flyers have, have nothing to do with Pronger being out.

He has been just meh since the injury so depends on the rest of the season. Right now he is playing like a number 6D |
