I can't help but wonder if Carle does have any trade value as a UFA. Nothing against Carle but the D needs to be shaken up a bit. We need to add to it or switch it up. Something has to be done with it. I figure as long as we hang on to the first pair (Timonen and Coburn) we can afford to switch things up on the D. Bryz hasn't been great but he has had moments of greatness. He's not getting a lot of help back there. |

We're just gonna have to watch as Homer stands pat at the TDL, lets all the UFA's walk, and flips us all a huge "Seravalli you" foam finger as he tries to let the fanbase dwindle. The only way to get fans to appreciate this team is to go through another period like 1990 - 1994. |

I'm not at all convinced the Flyers will stay as they are. We're 4th overall in the East, I don't see the Flyers just rolling over and dying. History has shown that the Flyers always continue to push and normally bring their best in the playoffs. Even if the Flyers do trade JvR for Schenn and maybe make a minor deal for Gill, I feel those are the only deals this team needs moving toward to have any success in the post season. |

I'm inclined to agree with this even though I'd really love to see a big trade, letting this team grow is probably best. |

Hasn't worked since Mr. Snider returned from the Left Coast in 1994. Time to trim the fat. |

Trades are like ear candy in music. They might get in your head and stick with you for a bit, but they don't really add much substance. |

Wifeskippy has Puppy Bowl on while reading. I'm shopping online and watching the boards. No throwball in this hockey house. |

I think that depends on the trade though. There's been trades that really paid off for teams in the past. The Lindros trade helped greatly to ressurect the franchise from the dark ages you mentioned earlier. That one and the one for Lecalair-Desjardins. Just seems like with this team, they need to stay the course. Build through the draft and free agency. They are definitely missing Briere and Pronger. But replacing Pronger seems more like an objective at this point.
If they can replace Pronger without getting carried away, then by all means. Personally I'm all for trading for luke Schenn if he is indeed on the table. However not at a Pronger like value. |

He was doing that because your guys were attempting to breast feed instead of fight. |

It's on Animal Planet. Bunch of dogs play with toys on a play area that looks like a football field. They had kittens on earlier today. Potbelly pigs are the "halftime show," I think. |

We still need to see if JVR comes back from that concussion. He's not going anywhere until he does. |

I'm not paying attention to it, but the human element last year was embarrassing TV. Scott Graham (Phillies announcer) is doing the play by play. |
