I'm not against trading him for picks, but there has to be prudence in the deal. If I'm the Flyers, I'm using this year as a learning year. I'm not trying to be a strong contender in 3 years. I want to contend next season.

I want to contend this year, but I just think the injuries and resulting reliance on kids makes it unlikely this year.
