You don't trade a player like JVR just because it will get you the most in return. You trade if him if doing so makes your team better. Hell Giroux would get you the most in return. Should they trade him? - MJL

Up until the whole hercule guy and them other seravallitards showed up iwas okay with the ocassional lame sideshow act. They needed to keep the weaklings they killed off dead too. Don't know why bringing them back so they could stand around and gasp in fear like they were holding a turd was productive to the show, and Im back to not kidding. - JoeRussomanno

yes which is crazy i doubt either one will be moved imo...might as well wait... JVR is the only guy i trade not because i hate em i just feel hes the guy who will give u the most in return imo - Slammed81
To me, it's not a matter of moving anyone, it's about improving the team. If they can't get a deal done without overpaying, I'm fine with standing pat. Far worse than making no deal is making a bad one.

well i would think that would be homers idea if he trades jvr to make the team better

yea im not sayin trade jvr but i'd be listenin ,,,, J.Johnson no
The key was that New England only had 1 time out. Say they stop Bradshaw. They burn their time out. The Giants take a knee twice, run the clock down to 2 seconds, then kick a field goal and Brady doesn't get a shot to win.
It's noble to say that teams in the past wouldn't have let him score out of pride, but it's also foolish, given the clock, field position and situation. When the other team can run the clock down to nothing and kick what is basically an extra point with no time left to win, you want the ball back ASAP. - Jsaquella
I understand the strategy, but I have a hard time watching them open the field from the 5 with 1 minute left, if thats the case why wouldn't they have let them score from the 20-25 with 2 pr 3 minutes left?
what would be different? I can't see a pro league handing another team a free score for getting the ball back, it's jaded

Oh and I have almost every season on DVD which is a great way to spend time with my 5 y/o on a rainy day-watching old kick ass cartoons. Have every Transformers on dvd too (original series). Yes I will watch them by myself sometimes and I'm not kidding.

It could be worse, there are whole communities of grown men on the internet who watch and idolize the new My Little Pony cartoon.

Homer is going to make whatever deal he feels is necessary. We may agree or disagree but Homer is going to make a trade that he feels will improve the team.

This is one of the few times I disagree with you Jsaq. I understand what you are saying, but I'll let leonidas tell you how i feel

Because that far out there's a lot that can go wrong with the kick. Look at the AFC Championship game-all pro kicker missed a 28 yarder. Also, from the 25, there's a chance they could pass. Passing gives you a chance at a pick. Hell they could even fumble.
But at that point, from the 5 yard line, with one time out and 1 minute left, there's no choice. You can play for pride and hand them the win, or let them score and count on Brady and the offense to get the TD.
If the Pats tackled him, before he scored, the game is over and they lose. It's like chess. The Pats sacrificed their Queen to buy a chance to capture the Giants' King.

I'm sure. What I'm saying is that making a bad deal, just for the sake of making a deal, is stupid.

I'll put it another way-if they don't let Bradshaw score, then they lose without getting the ball back. Either way they lose. Better to lose with Brady on the field than standing on the sidelines
