True cartoons now a days suck, and IM NOT KIDDING - bigmookalookie
I completely agree, and u guys will prolly think even lower of me but these cartoons today are used to program our kids to be more easily oppressed by the next paradigm of the ruling global power. |

I'm sure. What I'm saying is that making a bad deal, just for the sake of making a deal, is stupid. - Jsaquella
I dont think it really matters what we say on here cause no of us is pulling that trigger. I dont expect a bad deal but you never know what Homer is going to do. |

Mook cant wait for the arrival of Plind. Im sure he will be popping off about the NY stinking Giants and how bad Bryz was today. He will be calling for Bobrovsky even though he was lite up like a Xmas tree Saturday (he'll say it was the defense that left him out to dry).

If he even gives a (frank) about the Flyers today, I'd be impressed. |

It could be worse, there are whole communities of grown men on the internet who watch and idolize the new My Little Pony cartoon. - BulliesPhan87

Because that far out there's a lot that can go wrong with the kick. Look at the AFC Championship game-all pro kicker missed a 28 yarder. Also, from the 25, there's a chance they could pass. Passing gives you a chance at a pick. Hell they could even fumble.
But at that point, from the 5 yard line, with one time out and 1 minute left, there's no choice. You can play for pride and hand them the win, or let them score and count on Brady and the offense to get the TD.
If the Pats tackled him, before he scored, the game is over and they lose. It's like chess. The Pats sacrificed their Queen to buy a chance to capture the Giants' King. - Jsaquella
I'm not disagreeing with the strategy, o, here's a question: so all the other coaches in the past who didn't allow an easy score to give there offense more time near the end didn't know how to manage a clock?
I understand why, but it supports the fact that the NFL is very close to looking like the WWE in some regards.

I'm sure it doesn't matter what we say here, however, we discuss hockey here, from what happens on the ice to trades and possible moves.
It's sort of like you saying you'd like to shake up the defense. It gets discussed, regardless of whether it's likely to happen or not. If Holmgren's using these boards to decide what to do, he should be fired. All this is, really, is fans talking about the sport. We don't really know anything besides what the media reports.
Who knows, maybe Suter could be had for JvR and a 2nd. |

Your absolutely right. However, what looks like a bad trade proposal by one is an upgrade to another. |

A 25 yarder isn't much farther than what the Giants would have been kicking there.

I don't think it's even a matter of brainwashing. It's junk food media, and there's a whole lot of it. It just happens to fit that folks with mashed potatoes for brains are easily manipulated. |

I dont think there is anything Homer can do at the TDL that will make this team an instant contender. Their a young team that has issues playing a solid defensive game consistently. |

My thing is when we were kids, the cartoons were all about laying the smackdown on the bad guys. Now these cartoons hardly ever stress any of that. In fact when I watch some of this crap with my kids it almost feels like they are being told its okay to be pushed around. I could go on for hours but subliminal messages are all over television and printed marketing. |

I give it credit where due: It's a creative, thoughtful cartoon with real story telling elements. But it's a children's cartoon, if you're making it a lifestyle there's some serious issues that need to be resolved. |

It's not the only issue. Team defense is just as big of an issue. In 2012 the Flyers have played 16 games. In those 16 games, Giroux is a -13. Now that's not all on Giroux. But when your top player, and whatever combination of linemates and matchups against other teams, and your that far on the negative side. That's a big issue.
