Was anyone impressed with the Tito train today??? on a brighter note - Slammed81
He might become my favorite Flyer. Really hope they lock him up. No he's not art ross material but damn if he doesn't bring something to the table every club could use- good old fashioned toughness with skating ability. If can polish his hockey game up he'll be a stud 3rd/4th liner.
o man, now Morganti doesn't know hockey, we've had games where the opposition didn't have shots or pressure & we were still in same situation only opposite.
When he wasn't getting enough shots it's because he wasn't used to low shot totals, but today he saw too many shots & we lost as a team.
We do need to forecheck harder & be more physical, I give you that, but I disagree that Morganti doesn't know what he's talking about. - puckhead17
I'm not saying Morganti doesn't know hockey. I'm saying I disagree with him on the Gaborik goal and that the goaltending was 100% why they lost.
The Flyers had 12 shots on goal after two periods. You're not going to beat Lundqvist by getting 12 shots over two periods. Goaltending was a big part of why they lost. Blaming it entirely on goaltending is incorrect.

if i remember that wasnt the best flyer peformance i dont remember any weak goals that game i could be wrong tho - Slammed81
Two of the goals were 5 on 3 PPG.
I am writing that game off, personally. Teams have games like that sometimes. It is what it is. Did they play their best? No. Did they have any luck what so ever? Absolutely not.
The officiating IMO was also really sub-par, which didn't help.

yea giroux has missed a couple open nets recently not like him.. - Slammed81
He wasn't the only one. Schenn stared at an open net with the puck on his stick long enough for Lundqvist to slide over and make the save. I'm not trashing either guy but they gotta close on those opportunities regardless what the goalie does.

The blame on Bryz has a lot to do with frustration. I think everyones just waiting for him to "bail the team out" and keep them in a game where they are struggling defensively. People are quick to blame Bryz and talk about what saves he didn't make, but won't notice the disparity in shots and applaud him for the ones he did make.
Again, he was bad today. A save on either the Del Zotto or Gaborik goal was necessary for the team to even stay in the game. He was capable of saving both, no doubt.

No, according to these boards every media member is clueless, and we, with our regular jobs know more. - puckhead17
Thank god your finally getting it , I would never say Morganti doesnt know his job but at this point you dont say that there might be a crisis. Just see how the cards play out, nothing more you can do really. Its a beaten horse and he could of talked about the D let downs as well. All in all this team needs to get it's head out of it's ass

When you play the Rangers and Lundqvist you cant afford to give up cheap goals.

He is capable. And he deserves a big slice of the blame. And people tend to blame Bryzgalov for every goal, whether he had a chance to make a save or not.
Also, I don't know anybody who has said that he doesn't need to be better
