Not sure if this was sarcasm or not but a healthy Vick on his best of best days could not make that throw. Vick's acurancy has never been his strong suit.
This isn't a bash on the Eagles or Vick, it's just a simple observation that I watched last night that the Eagles are a long way away from having a QB make that kind of a throw. - hockeylover
I agree with this post. |

Simple question, was Bryz brought in to play like Boosh or to be the answer for the issues Boosh and the guys before him struggled from?
I want Bryz to make the stops he is suppose to make.
I hear you about all of the other things, defensive breakdowns, missed open nets, but Bryz was brought in for the lone purpose of solidifying the goalie position.
He isn't doing it. - ggunky
It's not that hard of a concept, is it? We brought in a guy that was supposed to stop all of the questions at goaltending and we've had nothing but questions so far. I'm not saying Bryz can't bounce back, but he hasn't been any better than what we had last year. Everyone wants to point at the defense, but you can't tell me that Bryz can't play better in front of this defense than Boosh did. |

why go old defense with young forwards. Time to make our D a little bit younger. - Philly1980
As a 5-6 option I think a veteren presence not named Lilja would serve us well. I'm all for getting younger when it comes to our top two defensemen(Kimmo, Prongs) tho. |

Of course I do...that's the only thing he's consistent at. I was just being a smart-ass because you only mentioned it about 13 times so far - Flyer_Nation71

EL OH EL!
Why did Eli go into GB and (frank) Rodgers skull? He OWNED Rodgers all day and night. If Rodgers is the League MVP at home with a 15-1 team, why is he getting beat by a mediocore 9-7 team? - PLindbergh31
Congrats man. I knew the G men were gonna win that game. Mentally tough team. Although the number of mental errors from both teams did surprise me. |

Rite. And if the Flyers lost yesterday because of defensive breakdowns or lack of offense, i would be making a stink about that.
The simple fact is, they lost yesterday because of 2 weak goals against.

Why get a rental for this year. Realistically we are not winning the cup with this team. Why trade our picks for one.?

What's wrong with parity? Do you like the fact the Red Wings, Devils, and Penguins have won 10 of the last 20 Cups? - PLindbergh31
Honestly, yes.
I think Dynasties are great for sports.

Yep. I don't deny the Flyers missed out on ample opportunites to get back into the game, but Bryz put them in that position to begin with. That Gaborik goal was garbage.
I thought he rebounded well after the opening goal, which wasn't his fault. Sucks he couldn't hang on. |

Nothing to do with what I posted. The Eagles blew more 4th qtr leads then any team in the league. Vick missed four games that could of possible put them in the playoffs if he plays. The NYG dont make the playoffs if Vick doesnt miss those games.

Thanks! It was a fantastic game. Both teams made plenty of mistakes.
Was just reading an article and watching a video of Gisele (Brady's wife) ripping the poop out of Welker. Wow. Sore loser. |

They lost because it was a shooting galary the first half of the game...it could have been 3-0, 4-0 before schenn scored.

I agree. Unless they are making a move that will help us in the future or is pretty much a steal for us, I don't see the point. It's not an "all-in" year for the Flyers. |

Well good thing the Eagles got rid of the defensive coordinator that was responsible for blowing all the 4th quarter leads. |

Would like to see the Flyers stand pat this trade deadline, unless they can acquire a defenseman that they plan to keep beyond this season.
They just have too many holes and are way too young to be considered legit contenders. They need:
- At least one big-bodied defensive defenseman who would be an upgrade over Lilja/Bourdon. (Just let the kids play and see how they adjust/develop.)
- A shutdown-type center who can win face-offs, kill penalties and be matched against other teams top lines. (Couturier will be this guy, but is a rookie.)
- Right winger capable of playing in a 3rd line, shutdown type role to match against other teams top line (I think Read will be this guy and they should let him continue to grow)
I think they have the makings of a great future 3rd in Talbot/Couturier/Read, but they are way too young to be counted on to stop other team's top lines this season and in the playoffs. Nor should they be looking for band-aids for this kind of help this season, IMO. - bradleyc4

Frustrating without question. Rangers are the better team, with the better goaltender. When that is the case, the results shouldn't be a surprise. - PLindbergh31
Yeah, I agree.. Just got a chance to watch the highlights. Up until the end of the second, we were putting up a pretty good fight having played 3 in 4 nights. Schenn's goal was really nice. He and Simmonds have been solid of late.
The issue with the goals Bryz gave up is that 2 of them went right through him. Those are ones that you want back as a tender. Overall though, he seems to be putting his game back together to an extent. Just couldn't go toe to toe with the best yesterday. I still am encouraged by his recent play.
Worst case scenario for this weekend really. I was very disappointed especially with the NJ game. We're clearly not to a level yet to challenge the top dogs.
This TDL will be interesting as I am unsure how Homer proceeds. At this point, I'd say bring in one depth dman for cheap, and then hope we get the rookies some playoff experience. I don't see how they can go for it this year because they really don't look like they can win the East as presently constructed. Maybe Briere and JVR returning would help, but the D looks too weak to me. |

Some of that was on the offense and Avant gave the game away twice I believe. You live and learn from the mistakes that were made. Vick and the Eagles will be fine heading into next season. They owner and coach dont need to make any changes this team was spectacular down the stretch. |

Fail. I think the good eagles teams had more to do with Jim Johnson than reid.
