If the smurfs they had could play hockey, I wouldn't give a (frank) if they were getting beat up nightly. Every guy that Burke has brought in for grit have been complete dog poop players. Orr, love the guy...but he can't play worth crap. Armstrong makes Connolly look like Doug Jarvis. Brown plays like a little rabid wolverine, but then completely forgets he's playing a sport where the object is to score once he touches the puck. Looking at the Kessel and Lupul line, they obviously aren't big and tough guys...but they are at least backing that up by putting up the points. This team needs so much more than a #1 centre. - weirdoh
agreed! I'd like a team as big and tough as Burke's yap for a start |

I can not see what Detroit sees in Semin.
Detroit like players who play every part of the game. All 3 zones and will sacrifice himself for the team.
I don't buy this Semin to Detroit thing, in the least. - ggunky
They might be thinking that playing with Datsyuk may motivate him. Datsyuk could get him the puck and mask some of Semin's defensive deficiencies. That being said it ultimately comes down to Semin buying into the Red Wing system. I think he could. |

Lupul is the best blend we got, and hes very average sized. If Kulemin scored like last year I would say hes the best sized scorer we had. |

Henrik would have him at 40 goals per year every year, but he does that with Burrows (almost) and all for 2 million a year! |

Such a letdown this year from Kulemin. He kept getting better each year only to completely go for a dump this year. At least Grabovski is starting to play up to par like last year, he had a terrible start as well. |

Nash makes complete sense for the Hawks, who are in desperate need of a top 4 D man.
John Scott plays the wing, Nash plays D

That all sounds good as long as we get Weber |

He's pretty overrated as it stands now. I wonder if he's the kind of guy that doesn't wan't the lime light or if he'd flourish playing in a town that wouldn't let him take poops without writing about it. |

Even seeing Colborn is a bit dissapointing, I hope he bulks up and gets a bit more edgy... the only thing he uses his size for is reach right now. |

7.8 million dollars a year for Rick Nash he's over-paid by about 2.5 million a year. - LeftCoaster
Id rather see Vancouver make a push for Perry rather than Nash. |

Yes, the 10 goals, 16 assists in 50 games, -12 just screams "better than both of them." |

I was thinking Sopel in net, but buff would probably be a better long term investment
