point totals? the fact that hes not a great defensive player. mostly point totals are what i think are the huge factor. hes only been a ppg once in his career in every other season hes below a ppg. on pace for 52 points this year he is a canadian kovalev to me, has all the talent but never uses it game in and game out. i would compare him to kessel, hartnell, havlat...

He is what he is, a 0.8 ppg player with size and speed, if you think he is a canadian kovalev then you have never watched him play and a plus/minus is the worst stat to determine "defensive play".
He is more like a more talented Ryan Smyth.
Anyone who plays as many minutes as he does on a team as poopty as the one he is on is always going to have a terrible plus/minus.
If you are expecting him to be crosby then you are overrating him. |
