Commentators have said that MTL has a deal in place with PGH to send Gill there at the deadline

Last night's 2nd PGH goal you can see Gill let up on Malkin behind the net allowing Malkin to give a nice easy pass out to Neal for the tying goal

With PGH getting that goal it could have set them up for the W and Mtl getting a loss - if Gill is going there - that play could have given PGH 2 pts in the standings and would have kept Mtl lower in the standings to get a higher pick

So Gill was helping out both teams with that 1 play especially if he is indeed going to the Pens in a few weeks
