Can Luke Schenn and Scott Stevens be compared? I've always known as a hard hitting stay at home defenseman but Stevens has put up some very good numbers. Nearing the end of his career the offense disappeared to his usual numbers he was still a decent defensive defenseman.

He's also worth a lot to the Flyers at $900k a year for the production he'll give for two more years. You really need to keep that kind of productive, low-cost guy.

In his short time in Philly he has shown to be a very versatile player that can play all 3 positions and score probably 25+ as well play solid defense.

The kid is a keeper and quite a shrewd signing by the Flyers. I know you know this.

No way in Hell Toronto sends Schenn AND their 1st for JVR and a 3rd. Maybe if JVR was playing like he was in the playoffs all this year but the fact is the guy is banged up and likely needs surgery.

If you want Toronto's 1st and Schenn it's gonna cost something like Read, a 2nd and maybe a 3rd.
