So if in the new CBA there is a clause that lets a team get out of one contract. Who will the flyers pick? At this very moment I would say its a clear cut 3 candidates. Pronger, Briere, or Bryz. Not sure if the Flyers organization can stomach paying out Pronger's contract for no production whatsoever. However Briere's is really cap binding, and the Flyers are deep at center. Bryz I would think gets a pass this year from the organization.

Honestly I would do Briere. Then after next season you find yourself with 17.2 million in cap space, with Prongers float of almost 5. 22 million in cap space in 1 season would be amazing. Then you have to replace Hartnell, Another scoring winger for Briere and Timonen... But still 22 million...

The only thing that worries me is for a guy that size, he should be more physical. He has a lot of tools and is still young. It's a little bit of a risk, but he could be a star on the backend.
