45 shots last night was the only positive, Bryz faced 18 shots, please... and still looks like he is not even focused in the s/o. but complaining about the goal tending is a lost cause b/c we're stuck with the guy. if we had been putting the puck in the net the pressure would be taken off the backside and Bryz. Ik jaromes cap hit is 7 mil but the way he is playing he could be in the league another 5+years. Prob one of the most solid wingers in the game to play with Danny B. Wb schultz on Washington, dependable d man, has he even played lately or is he still a healthy scratch? |

If the rest of the team did their job and scored just 1 goal in regulation, then there wouldn't have been a shootout. Nothing to complain about as far as Bryzgalov is concerned last night.
Hell, they couldn't even score one on the shoot out. Bryz can't score and stop the puck. |

Selanne isnt going anywhere cause he wants to stay in Anaheim. Ryan might not even be available anymore. In the playoffs you have to play defense as scoring bc less of a premium imo. - stveshdy
I have heard that Selannie would waive his NTC for a few teams, and the Flyers were on that list...
In the playoffs Defense is more important, but if you cant score on the other teams defense.... I wouldnt mind getting someone that is more shoot first oriented. |

Agreed, but i think 3/6 ehh possibly 4/6 when carle doesnt have sand in his well you know. d man are dependable and reliable and we could ride them through the playoffs.
plus if wer scroing, the D won't be playing like their tails between their legs.
i think a sniper would be positive asset. selanne looks like he can play until hes 60 |

Must of missed that , darn! - MJL
Seriously I don't care how well he has been playing, when it comes to this stupid skills competition, Simmonds is not in my top 5 let alone my #2 skater and I don't care how good of a coach Lavy is, its a mistake to me. |

There is a pwr forward who is having a rough yr & has a sketchy injury history, but he is a prototypical net crasher. While D is the priority for sure, taking a gander at David jones might not be a bad idea. The guy lives in the crease. |

This is gonna sound really dumb but being attendance to that game I have hard time believing those shot totals. Not that I thought Nabokov didn't face alot of shots or that Bryz faced more. Walking out of that place I felt it was more like a 25-34 type of tally. Maybe some of the second effort shots I saw by the Isles didn't get recorded and more of the missed shots I thought I saw by the Flyers were recorded I don't know. Anyone else feel that way? |

I've read the opposite that he wasnt willing to waive his NTC for anyone. That is why he signed a one year deal with a NTC. He wants to stay in Anaheim and finish his career there. |

I have to agree with this. Simmonds is more and more becoming possibly my favorite player but not for his finesse skill which I think is what your shootout guys need to be selected for. |

I don't know about that, but I do think the isles had as many great chances as we did and Bryz was impressive. |

Not having JvR hurts. This kid is suppose to be the face of the franchise along with Giroux once Carter and Richards were sent packing. The Flyers could really use him right now. Big power forward who can create havic all over the ice (when healthy). - stveshdy
Except I can pretty much count the games on one hand when he has done the above. Two or three of them happened in last season's playoffs...which is great. That the guy has a playoff gear is one of the big reasons I don't want Holmer even thinking about shipping him out unless he gets a return to which he just can't say "no". I hope he develops into a player that consistently plays in the manner in which you portray him, however, he ain't there yet. I cut him slack though because of his youth and injuries. I'm rooting for JVR. |
