As for your viewing, I recommend keeping it that way. For all my nerddom here, I'm a fan of them as films first. The chief failure of the new movies is that they broke what I think is the most important rule of film writing: "Show, don't tell."

The fact that WIP is an Eagles/Phillies/bad comedy/bash everything/sensationalism radio station first and the Flyers are usually an afterthought (unless there's some drama involved) is the real kicker.

First Rush album I ever bought. I heard "Hold Your Fire" from others at my high school, but was told to wait for the new album that was coming out since they were eliminating the keyboards for "Presto" (hence the rabbits and hat).
